"I toured the new townhouses at Eagle ridge commons at the end of September, the unit I selected was scheduled to be ready by 10/15. I gave my current apartment my 30 day notice & told them I’d be out by 10/31. Bonita said she would give me my keys to Eagle ridge a few days before 11/01 for a seamless transition. A week prior to 10/31 I had 0 answers from anyone at Eagle Ridge as to when I could pick up my keys & start bringing things over. My calls & emails were going unanswered. On Friday 10/27, I was told I’m not going to be able to move in until 11/10 but to make sure my full months rent is paid. I stressed to Kylie & Bonita that I needed to be out of my current unit by 10/31 as they had rented it out for the beginning of November. I had nowhere to go, or put my things. Kylie stated “I cannot give legal advice but we recommend you just stay there. They cannot legally change the locks without a court order & by the time they get that, your unit will be ready for move in.” A man then got on the phone & screamed at me, swearing & basically telling me too bad be homeless for 10 days. Taking no responsibility for their mishap. He ended the conversation by saying “I’m done speaking to you” & hung up the phone. I immediately called back because I was so confused. A woman got on the phone & when I asked who that rude man was she said “oh you don’t want to piss him off, he will send your deposit right back” turns out his name is Tom & he’s an OWNER!!! WHAT kind of business is this place???? No one knows what is going on over there, extremely disorganized & unprofessional!! Thankfully ended up getting my security deposit back & finding somewhere else to live. Save yourself the headache & do not rent from these people!!!!!"

"Looks like Burke homes has a reputation for breaking leases. I signed a lease over a month ago and they cashed my security deposit… I had to chase them down for days to speak to someone about the move in then finally get a response from Bonita that the tenants were deciding to stay in the house and can no longer rent it to me, One month before my expected move-in date! I am a single mother, gave notice to my current landlord that I was vacating On top of the fact that we had a signed lease and they cashed my deposit, which I explained. she went to owner, Mr Dave Burke who could care less. I have been renting apartments for almost 20 years and I have come across some doozy of Landlord’s but nothing like this, this has to be the most unprofessional illegal business I have ever encountered. If you’re considering renting through them please beware so you don’t end up in my position about to be homeless because of these people. I’m completely devastated. Btw one of the individuals who have this a five star rating is Bonita Gleisle, who is exactly who I was working with through Burke homes. You gotta wonder who the other five stars are coming from. Very shady. Shame on you Mr Burke for conducting your business in this way"

"took my sons deposit then shredded his signed lease agreement and gave his apartment to someone else. also all of the 5 star reviews are their own employees. Bonita is the leasing agent, hm."

"Approved me for an apartment. Signed the lease and gave them the deposit. Then they told me my lease is canceled because the original tenant has decided to stay after already committing to vacating 3 weeks before my move in date. Then that same day offered another apartment available in a few months and told me my deposit will go to that unit, the following morning they gave it to someone else. Worst experience with leasing agents possible. Unprofessional and they don’t care at all"
