"I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the service provided by OAS FCU. My experience with this company has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. The staff, in general, have been extremely unhelpful and rude. When I requested to speak with a supervisor, I was met with unprofessionalism and discourtesy. Shockingly, the supervisor I spoke with was unfamiliar with the concept of subordination, a basic term in our field. During our conversation, she abruptly hung up on me and refused to provide any further information on who I could contact for assistance. Over the past two months, I have reached out to approximately 10 different staff members via email and phone, yet I have not received any responses. My repeated attempts to obtain a simple subordination letter for one of our mutual clients have been ignored, resulting in zero progress. This is not the first time we have encountered issues with this credit union. Seven months ago, we faced a similar situation with the same client, where it took an additional two months to receive a document that typically requires only a few hours to prepare. The level of service provided by OAS FCU is wholly unacceptable and demonstrates a severe lack of professionalism and efficiency. I would strongly advise others to consider alternative institutions to avoid the significant delays and poor customer service we have experienced. If I could leave negative stars I would."
"In 2014, I went to the process to apply for a mortgage loan. I was approved for the loan and went ahead and picked out a house and made an offer. OASFCU kept asking me for more information even after the loan had been approved and I continued to answer their questions and provide documents. My credit score was high. I made great money, and had enough for the down payment. 2 weeks before closing, the loan officer stopped answering my emails. I had already moved out of my apartment, sold all my things, and anticipated moving in to my new house a week later when I got an email saying that they'd changed their mind and wouldn't be providing me with the mortgage loan A WEEK BEFORE Closing. They said it was because I was working on a contract (which was longterm and it's the way most people at international orgs like OAS work so they are familiar with the terms). I can only conclude that after they didn't want to give a loan to a black person and finally found an excuse to pull the rug from under me and leave me homeless."
