Reviews of Vons
"6/13/24 00:22 check the cameras manager what is that mess 10 to 15 people waiting for 1 checkout line and your 4-5 staff just chit chatting This guys not opening self checkouts at night and making dozens of ppl wait for a 1 line Are you crazy?"
"This Vons is TERRIBLE, keeps getting worse and worse every month and every year. I remember when I first started coming here about 8 years ago it was the best grocery store I've ever been to but now I avoid this place whenever possible. They continue to not stock the regular items that I would buy and seem to just discontinue them even when other locations still sell the same items. It seems like whenever I have to go there someone is walking out of the store and stealing with the managers standing at the front, angry and confused. A lot of the employees are just ghetto, plain and simple. Such a shame what happened to this location and even worse no one seems to care."
"Purchased a sub sandwich on 7/4/24. Today 7/5/24 I began to remove bread so that I can add mayo and found this bug sandwiched between the cheese and lettuce. In normal circumstances I would simply throw it away, however Vons is a place I frequent often, so I wanted to alert management on what I found. I took proper documentation of the bug in the sandwich and threw it away. I happened to be nearby so I went to speak with someone about what I found. A manager happened to be on register. I was immediately met with doubt that this could have happened at the store, they stated that the bug must have gotten there when I ate outside. I DID NOT eat outside, I only opened the sandwich inside. I was a bit dismayed by their lack of concern for what I may have ingested or the potential health hazards. Instead I was told that the sandwiches were made fresh every day and that their standards are high. I understand that mistakes happen and things surely can slip by protocols. So this review is mainly on the customer service provided. It was accusatory and lacked professionalism. Dealing with a manager I was rather shocked that that asked to see the pictures again, and began to scroll through the photos. I then was asked if I wanted get ANOTHER SANDWICH! To say I was disappointed was understatement, I insisted on my money back, again no apology extended for the inconvenience, just a simple here’s your money and a walk away. Please avoid this location, as it seems management does not take health hazards seriously."
"There is a worker named Tony or Johnny. Doesn’t wear glasses think he is Hispanic. He was working the freezer on Aile 5. This was at 9:35pm last night. Very rude, unhinged is best way to describe him. I asked him for help to find a product he said I was bothering him and proceeded to lecture me. I shop here all the time and I remember once a woman called him a racist as I was shopping there and I didn’t think much of it. But now I believe there is fire underneath that smoke.or maybe he was hungry or hadn’t had a break but there is still no excuse. If you don’t want to help shoppers or customers please go and work in a warehouse.Amazon is always hiring. Or say I am quite busy we will ask those that can help us. A lot of shoppers complain about him and his rudeness. The other employees are very sweet especially day shift but him he is trouble .vons should not be hiring colorists or misogynistic people"
