"Thief. Wesly Nichols stole $1,500 for repairs in my home that he never intended on completing. You can verify the validity of my statement with Tioga County as the debt is on formal record. This theft is a class E felony, but because I took it to small claims court I am not allowed to press criminal charges. Despite my legal victory in small claims court, the NYS legal system is pro-criminal and has failed to retrieve my stolen money from this man. I have thus far spent hundreds of dollars in fees and gas for travel to try and get my money back. As the saying goes: this is not the first time he has committed this crime, it is the first time he has been caught. He manages to get away with these shady dealings because he has a steady stream of income installing appliances for Lowes in Sayre, Vestal, and Binghamton. I have put in a complaint with BBB to see if Lowes will address the fact that they have an active felon on the roster, if they do not address it in a month I will be placing similar reviews on their pages to warn customers of the type of people that will be allowed in their homes."
"They are terrible - It's no wonder there are no reviews for this business in the last 6 months. They have a lucrative contract with Lowes to install appliances and pretty much focus on that as their bread and butter. So, if you are a customer looking for a competent and efficient job which takes more than a minute to perform, they aren't for you. And I did not deal with the workers... I dealt with Wes the owner. Wes quoted me a price based on the scope of work, I agreed to their price and we set a date. Materials had to be picked up prior to the job and I further agreed to payment of their extra fee for pickup and delivery and notified the store to have the material ready. I also spent money putting my German Shepherd in boarding for the day so he would not be underfoot during the job and I moved EVERYTHING - food, utensils, cookware and dish ware - out of my kitchen so the guys could work there with no problem. It was a huge prep effort, then THEY DID NOT SHOW AND DID NOT CALL. When the store holding the material started calling asking where they were, I started calling Wes. But his excuse was so lame, I'm almost embarrassed to repeat it here. But not quite... It was snowing that day. Wes told me that his employees took off with his snow blower that morning and had not returned calls all day. He said he had to hand shovel his own driveway cuz he couldn't reach them. And did not know what to tell customers cuz he didn't know when they would return. (Seriously?) I guess the employees finally stopped using his snowblower to make an average $150 an hour snow-blowing driveways with his blower (the going rate), because the next day I finally heard from their secretary - not a direct phone call apologizing for the delay and offering to rebook. No offer to absorb the expense I had already extended. Instead, she TEXTED me an offer to reschedule my 2-day job during ONE DAY ONLY the following week at which time I simply told them to go sit on certain projectiles. And the joke of this whole thing is that Wes repeatedly told me he was a guy who "does what he tells people he will do." Only problem is, he never told me his employees actually run the show and if they want to take a snow day at his expense, no problem. Because his customers are the ones left holding the bag. In summary: lack of courtesy, professionalism, customer consideration and follow-through. Maybe a large commercial outfit like Lowes can absorb the consequences of contractors like this. Not so with individual, residential customers where care counts."
