"My family loves running here. Depending on the trail you chose the hike can vary in difficulty from easy to hard. There are not trash cans so you need to pack everything out, be prepared. You can spend anywhere from an hour to 4 depending on trails you choose."
"This trail head is nice because it opens up a less popular side of green lakes. The trails from here do eventually connect to the main lake trails, but they also open up parts of the park that are unseen by most visitors. If you've never gone to Green Lakes, go to the main entrance. But if you have visited Green Lakes before and you're looking for something new visit some of the trails that start here. I will say the views aren't as spectacular as the lake views you get in the park, but if you're looking for something different visit this trail head. Also be weary that there aren't that many parking spaces so it could very well be full when you arrive."
"Great hike. Just be careful of the marker's on the trail, they do not say perimeter trail."
"Great trail options in the entire area. I completed the Deer Run trail loop. Signage from the perimeter trail entry point was not the most specific, but was clearer up on the loop. The trail was varied, kept very clear, with some nice views and occasional benches for pauses to enjoy them!"
"Parked on 290 enjoyed the 10 minute incline then opened up to fields and trees and great views. Trails were easy walking. Many miles of walking trails."
