"Nothing weirder than full grown adults parking at the playground to get high around children. Definitely a place I wouldn’t want my children alone. A little simple police patrolling would be more than adequate to prevent these weirdos from just parking and watching the park below for weird long amounts of time. It’s very concerning. Especially with the human trafficking in this world. Lone strangers parked at the park looking down on the children playing does not fill me with confidence"
"3/20/24 Update This park has so much potential to be brought back to its former glory, if only the following issues were addressed: - There’s a tarp tent set up down the SE side of the hill, with an out of control tricolored pitbull who lunges at any walkers on the trail - The roadblocks at the East exit of the park and end of the parking lot were supposed to lessen loitering, dumping, and lewd behavior — but it actually just concentrated it all into the parking lot and gazebo where children and families are supposed to be! It’s disgusting and pathetic. - Due to the aforementioned issue above, the parking lot is constantly trashed with tiny bits of crushed garbage, cigarette butts, bottle caps, and shattered glass. I try to avoid the glass when walking my dog but I sometimes need to pick her up to get to the stairs. - Many times I’ve seen people doing drugs and getting handsy when I’d walk my dog up toward the observation tower - The observation tower is so much smaller than the parking lot, yet it’s got the same amount of litter!!! - The soil erosion of the NE restricted access road to walk into the dog park is ridiculous! Somebody thought the solution would be to dump some wood chips. While I do appreciate the effort, it’s a useless fix in face of the constant wear and water buildup. Gravel is the best option. - the winding trails of the far eastern side of the hill are very nice, I just wish Syracuse Parks and Recreation would make time for some amount of trail stewardship like trimming branches and fixing the steep brick & slate steps that start the trail at Mathers St. x Lincoln Park Dr. ————————————————————————— ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Such a cool little park in the Northeast neighborhood! Went around lunch time for a long walk with my Molly girl to explore a nearby park we haven’t been to yet, and oh my goodness what a wonderful surprise the dog park was!!!! It was so clean and neat, good brand of doggie bags, and no dug-up holes so my girl and any other dogs who love running around won’t get hurt ❤️ I am so glad I happened to bring a ball with us!!!"
"Lincoln Park has some great Music. 5 outta 5 stars for sure!"
"A very nice place to relax and unwind. There is an area where you can see downtown Syracuse(using a telescope, which I have) It is an amazing sight."
"Nice local park with a play area. It's usually very quiet with a great observation hill at the top. Due to the pandemic the main access road through the park appears to be closed. However, you can still walk and jog around the area. Great for some quiet contemplating during the day. Though the grounds have been allowed to overgrow recently it's probably due to the pandemic. I look forward to seeing the park and grounds restored to their former glory."
