"If you care about art, you care about how it looks. And you want to take it to someone who cares about how it looks, too! Michaels may have coupons, but they don't have a talented, practicing artist with a wealth of know-how. Vicki spent an incredible amount of time helping me pick out matting for my great grandmother's painting, then did a fabulous job repairing a frame ruined during a recent cross-country move. She also made astute recommendations for an arts-and-crafts style print I wanted framed, and the end result is gorgeous. She's thoughtful about how much people spend on framing, too. I went higher-end because I wanted the piece to sing and to last a long time, but she was realistic and honest with me about cost, and even made suggestions about what I could do if that was more of a priority. All that, and you're also supporting a local businesswoman who's invested in the community here. Recommendations for a cool venue in Syracuse? Check. Info about the local community? Check.
