"The parking spaces are for boat owners only. Apparently you can get a ticket by town of Islip for parking in the parking lot. Parking for kayak launch on side of road."
"we had a really nice time kayaking this river. its a calm ride, lots of nice boats to check out southbound on way to Bay or northbound there wetland paths opposite nice homes. yes, there was some poison ivy at entrance that have to watch out for (leaves of three, let it be), otherwise this is a great launch point and we'll be back"
