"Chandler estate park is quite a hidden gem on North shore of Long Island. Thanks to Port Jeff Rotary club there is information kiosk at the entrance and benches on a bluff overlooking the beach. Trails are short and maintained, main attraction of the park is its beach, also check out the bamboo grove and ruin remnants. Parking is located next to cemetery adjacent to church’s parking."
"Nice place to take a walk. Check yourself for ticks after, though!"
"It’s a nice hike through the woods but kind of sketchy. Nothing is marked, you could hear dirt bikes riding through and see fresh tire tracks along the trail, and there were brand new lawn chairs set up in the middle of the trail away from any houses or developed places. Make sure you go with someone. The beach is very worth it."
"Walked around here during Halloween right behind the Mt. Sinai Congressional Church. Cemetery is well-maintained and cleaned, the gravestones are largely intact. Trail has multiple crossroads, and overall the distance is very doable for novice hikers. Make sure to follow the route down leading up to the west bay of Cedar Beach, it's a nice view of the area."
"There's a path to walk down so scenic and Serene. We're still in March so it'll be even more beautiful as the season's change. The water looks lovely and inviting. Love it there, the marina the bay, the ocean. In the summer they have live bands. Most enjoyable"
