"The location on 16 W 16th St. New York NY 10011 is the worst, 0/10 rating. The entire operation is a scam. I would give no stars if I could. The attendants are rude and disrespectful. I reserved the parking spot the day before on August 16, 2023. My reservation was for August 17, 2023 from 12pm-6pm. The total for the reservation was $30 I arrived to the garage on August 17, 2023 at my reserved time and the attendants told me that I could not park in the garage because it was full. I showed my reservation and the attendants proceeded to valet my vehicle. After parking my car the attendant informed me that the longest I could stay in the garage was 2 hours. I informed the attendant that I had a 6 hour reservation and the attendant kept telling me that I could take the 2 hour slot or cancel the reservation. I told the attendant that I could not cancel the reservation per the confirmation page because it stated that the reservation time already began and I missed the window to cancel. The attendant kept telling me to cancel the reservation or take the 2 hour time slot. I contacted Spot Hero’s customer service regarding the discrepancy, which led to me choosing to cancel the entire reservation for a full refund. After cancelling the reservation, the attendants refused to release my car unless I paid an additional $40. I contacted Spot Hero’s customer service again to inform Spot Hero the attendant’s were refusing to release my car. I was on the phone with the Spot Hero’s customer service representative Haniel for over an hour. Haniel was trying to convince me to pay the $40 fee and he claimed that I would be reimbursed, I refused. Haniel then tried to convince me to book another parking reservation and then he claimed that he would refund me the money for the additional purchase. I refused and he told me that my car could not be released unless I showed a new confirmation because my initial reservation was not sufficient, due it being cancelled and my reservation being refunded. I inquired why Haniel could not instruct the attendants to release my vehicle since I cancelled, and he could not give me a clear explanation. I explicitly told Haniel and the attendants that I felt like they were trying to swindle me out of more money. I ultimately ended up calling the police (who by the way never showed up). Haniel tried to convince me that I would receive a full refund and the police did not need to get involved, but I was not buying it. Haniel finally provided me with a new confirmation number which I was able to give to the attendants and they finally released my vehicle. I was not budging nor was I going to allow them to scam me. All of the customers who had reservations were also dealing with the same scam. One family ended up paying an additional $50 on top of paying the online $30 reservation fee because the lot would not release their car without them paying the $40 parking fee plus an additional $10 fee because their car was considered oversized. I will be taking further steps to ensure this scam is shut down and other people won’t go through what I went through. DO NOT PARK AT THIS GARAGE AND DO NOT USE SPOT HERO!!!!!"
"Just don’t park here. Terrible customer service. They didn’t know where our car was and said it would take two hours to get it for us. Would not provide updates (straight up ignored us). Will not be going back."
"I’ve parked at this garage 19x to be exact. I know everyone’s name. Diego the manager, there’s another Diego, Frances & Jorge. This garage is up to some funny business. They charged me $50 for accidentally taking my key fob with me. Jorge hit a Tesla with my vehicle & I let it go, I shouldn’t have. The last straw for me was when I paid SpotHero to reserve a spot for me & I returned to this garage within my 6 hour time limit & I was told I owe $28 on top of the $29 I already paid. My boyfriend showed up & then suddenly a new receipt was printed & I owed $11. I didn’t pay anything. I got in my car and drove out of the garage. I promise I will never give this garage my business again. P.S the photo is the little bit of damage caused to my vehicle since Jorge can’t drive."
"This is the worse parking garage I have ever been to. I booked a reservation for 11:30 am I arrived to the garage at 11:20 the attendant said it was no issue . Once I went back to pick up my car the attendant told me I needed to pay an extra $11 after I prepaid for the parking online (for 6 hours and came back in 2 hours) due to the fact that I came 10 mins prior to my reservation. I told the attendant why wasn’t I told this when I dropped my car off , he stated there’s nothing he can do and to “ call the phone number on the ticket and file a claim but I am not giving the keys back until the balance is paid”. This is ridiculous, once I paid the extra fee the attendant gave me my keys and walked off to help the other people that were waiting. While I was getting my family into the car I saw the attendant arguing with another customer for the attendant charging them too much. As the argument progressed I watched the attendant PUSH THE CUSTOMER HE WAS ARGUING WITH MULTIPLE TIMES. ( by the way the customer that the attendant was arguing with and pushed was a women which is completely out of line ). This attendant should be FIRED I have never seen such disrespect in my entire life ."
