Caliber Collision

"At first, I was hesitant to use a body shop recommended by my insurance company, but the reviews were so strong for Caliber Collision in Bloomfield that I decided to give them a try. My son was rear-ended on 78 by a Jeep and it caused nearly 4K worth of damage to our less than 1-year old Mazda CX-90 SUV. Keep in mind, this was their top model with all of the bells and whistles. MSRP was $65K. So there were lots of sensors and cameras to deal with since the rear bumper panel as well as the hatch needed repair. Even trickier was the two-tone Soul Red Crystal paint, which I read about on Reddit, was supposed to be nearly impossible to match. The right-rear wheel-well was damaged too as well as the entire lower right-rear corner of the vehicle. The accident occurred on July 3rd. We brought the car into the shop on the following Monday July 8th, due to the holiday. Both the insurance company and I were not aware Caliber Collision was full, but they made an exception for me, since the estimate was sent the prior Friday morning. We were extremely grateful for their flexibility since I was paying for part of the car rental which the insurance company wouldn't cover. We had already picked up the car on Friday and I was already on the hook for an extra three days since I wasn't aware everyone would be closed on Friday for the holiday. The office staff was incredibly patient and helpful and my car was in their hands in about 15 minutes time. Orlando, the manager there, was very thorough about his turnaround expectations and warned me that it might be difficult to get parts since this was a first-year model of car. He said he would do his best and would communicate with me every Tuesday and Thursday via text with status updates on the work. They expected to be done in two weeks. At each step, I was updated on the status and I asked if we could possibly get the car a day earlier. They tried to meet my needs, but accidentally broke a part during reassembly, but they immediately called me to make me aware of it and said the following Monday I could pick it up at the latest. Sure enough, my car was ready Monday around noon for pickup. I inspected the repair and it was perfect. Not only did they wash and I think wax, the exterior. But they definitely cleaned up the interior some too. The repair looked as good as new and I could not discern the replacement parts from the originals color-wise. The entire check-out process took five minutes and I was on the way, with my wife following me, in the rental car. I honestly could not be more satisfied with the work and customer service of Caliber in Bloomfield. They are now my go to shop for insurance body work. FYI, I was not asked to write a review by Caliber Collision. I was simply so pleased with my entire experience that I felt they deserved the praise. It's not easy, when a shop is at full capacity, to perform at this level, especially maintaining such clear lines of communication with their customers. I had a perfect experience. YMMV.
