"Brian is by far the most honest and genuine person I have dealt with in the automotive industry. From beginning to end, gave me great communication and educated me. After days of taking time to figure out what was wrong and doing a bunch of diagnostic work, he gave me the unfortunate news that it would be within my best interest to just get a new car. The shop could have been shady and tried to charge me for a bunch of stuff, but he was open and honest and told me it’s just not worth fixing. And top of that, after DAYS OF WORK, he ultimately decided not to charge me, for the diagnostic fee. Brian is a stand up guy, and I can’t recommend him enough."

"I was planning a long road trip for a family vacation, so I took my truck to Clifton Transmission to get the transmission, transfer case, and differential fluids changed. This shop has been around for decades and is known for its expertise. I also support small local businesses so I made an appointment for the fluid changes, and their pricing was more affordable than going to the dealer. I dropped my truck off for the fluid changes. Around midday, I received a call from Brian and Mark at Clifton Transmission. When they removed the rear differential cover, they found a lot of metal on the magnet and saw that the teeth on the spider gears were nearly gone. They recommended a few options: using a used differential which might have the same issues as mine, rebuilding my differential, or purchasing a rebuilt differential from US Powertrain, which comes with a two-year warranty. The new differential features upgraded parts that address flaws in the original OEM design, making it a significant improvement for my vehicle. I chose the third option. Mark told me he would call once the parts arrived to swap it out. They were very accommodating with my kids' school schedule and my work schedule. They installed the new differential, and within a few hours, I had my truck back. Mark was very upfront, explaining that he had used US Powertrain products for decades. He was upset to report that the new differential had a persistent gear whine between 60 and 45 mph on deceleration. US Powertrain recommended driving it for 500 miles to see if the noise subsided, but it didn't. They then sent a replacement differential to Clifton Transmission under warranty and covered the installation costs at my local shop's hourly rate. I paid nothing out of pocket for this second differential install. Overall, I highly recommend Clifton Transmission for your drivetrain needs. Mark and Brian maintain a clean, neat, and orderly shop. They are very knowledgeable about all makes and models of transmissions. Their commitment to quality and customer service is truly commendable.
