"I've been going to this salon for over ten years. My experience has been very good. The owner, Melina, keeps a record of what was done with my hair at each visit. That makes me feel very good; because it reassures me she'll know what I will need at the next visit, in case I forget. I do not find her prices to be unreasonable, especially if you have shoulder length hair or longer. It takes more product and time to care for longer hair. On average, I'll pay $50 for a basic "Wash & Set" for my relaxed hair. I'll add more plus the tip most of the time because Melina and her sister, Enovis, are very good. They will not do something to your hair just to earn a "buck." They will explain the reason for not using a particular technique on your hair. It might be that you just had your hair dyed one color a few days ago, and now you want to change it. They will refuse to do it."

"Wow! I just had the most amazing, calm, thorough experience I’ve ever had at a hair salon! The owner is such a sweet, honest, and KNOWLEDGEABLE stylist. I have struggled my whole life with my hair. I’ve worn it natural for several years now and refused to straighten it because it’s so fine and thin. I was always convinced my hair could not be worn in that style. This stylist did what had to be done! From start to finish! She washed my hair thoroughly (I almost fell asleep at the wash station haha), she made note of my hair type and it’s issues (dry, brittle, breaking off, uneven, you name it), she asked all the right questions. I felt comfortable enough to ask for a trim (some stylists cut too much). She took her time and got rid of all the dead ends and fly aways. She used just enough product to keep my hair from feeling weighed down. She gave me instructions on how to maintain it. I haven’t had a pin curl style in years. It looks amazing. I got there at 11 and left around 2:15pm. I will definitely be returning. And ladies, this is not a $25 doobie spot. I rather spend my coins here for this result rather than be in and out with poor outcome just because my hair is “natural”. She deserves every penny. Happy customer "

"Great Salon. I have never had any issues and I am always happy with my hair. Yes, it is a bit pricey however, you get what you pay for. I have gone to salons where it’s half the price and my hair looks crazy after a few days. My hair is good for at least 2 weeks when I visit Diva Doobie and I have natural hair. I’m sure if I had a relaxer it could last even longer. Update: I got my hair done on 2/6 it’s 2/29 and my hair still looks great. I have natural hair, the weather has been gross and my hair still looks amazing. There was even like 2-3 nights that I didn’t wrap my hair before bed."

"Excellent service, but a bit pricey. Personalized service from friendly and experienced staff softens the blow of the price. I have thick, natural curls, but after a day at Diva's my hair was bone straight; and has lasted for over one month! I highly recommend Diva's Doobie!!"
