"When I started I was with North Shore Oil and I loved them. After Mirabito bought them it was a different experience. The drivers were very nice, but it was so difficult to get ahold of someone at the office who could help. I finally gave up trying. I just had the tanks hauled away and those men were rather rude. I suppose they are used to dealing with people who are not happy to have their tanks removed, but I was friendly and courteous so there was no reason for their burliness. I asked them how much propane was left in the tanks as I did not get a reading before the tanks were sealed in preparation for today and wanted to have some idea of how much of a refund to expect. They said there was no propane in either tank and that they cannot remove propane from these tanks. That makes no sense. I have to expect at this point that I will not be refunded for the propane I paid for but did not use. Not a big surprise given how unimpressed I have been with Mirabito since they took over... If I receive a refund, I will update this review. I gave them two stars only because the delivery drivers and the one service professional I dealt with were so friendly over the years."

"After getting my tank filled, I was made aware that the tank whistle was broken and the letter they sent me stated I could go into their local office to purchase the parts I needed. I drove 30 minutes to the closest office but they didn’t have all the parts I needed. I was told to come back the next day (Friday) to get the rest of the parts. I drove all the way home and back out the next day. They told me they forgot to set aside the parts for me and to come back the next day (saturday) and that they would have the parts ready. I woke up early Saturday morning and once again made the long drive out to get the parts. THE OFFICE WAS CLOSED! Why would they tell me to come back if the office was going to be closed? Needless to say, I now have to return a 5th time to just get a few replacement parts. Customer service is obviously not at the top of their list and I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for parts/ fuel oil since Mirabito clearly needs to work on being better to their customers."

"TOTAL RIPOFF - based on my experience in 2011 and the similar experiences I have heard of since then it would appear as though, this company's delivery drivers have been ripping off this community for a while. The secretaries refused to even take my calls and when I went there in person to show them the measurement of my level stick they scoffed and sided with the drivers. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - or if you do- insist they show you beginning and ending levels of their dispensing devices (I have no doubt you will notice an increase in how the fuel lasts and a decrease in your heating bills) . As I see it the drivers are too tempted by $4/gal, which is to say over the course of a day they have 20 customers and skim 20 gallons as an average they have an extra $1600 they can sell elsewhere or use. There isn't a doubt in my mind this is being done and I am glad to have this as a forum to finally warn others. There you have it NORTHSHORE OIL SECRETARIES who refused to take my calls and scoffed at me and called me a liar when I went to the office directly-- justice will be done one way or another- so please explain this one to your boss-- I'm sure the guy at the fireplace store will remember the event- I was that angry."
