"Went In to buy some cookies. I picked out 13 small cookies from the case. The girl said $13.55. Thought it was a lot but I know the cost of everything has gone up. The worst cookies stale no taste. This happened once before but I thought I'll try again. This is the last time for me."
"Weird to see reviews that complain about the staff. The girls are always very friendly and as accommodating as they possibly can be. LaDolce has been *the* neighborhood bakery since I was a kid, and they’ve always had consistently good pastries and bread, with excellent cakes. Although their cakes are not fancy-looking for Instagram, they are always really tasty, and that’s what matters more IMO. Still the best Italian bread in the neighborhood and when the sfogliatelle are fresh, they’re just perfect and leagues above anywhere else. For the super mild criticisms: there are always flies in here in the summer. I know it’s inevitable but because breads are left open on the shelves, there’s an ick factor when you see too many of them. Perhaps the bread could be placed behind a glass shelf. It would also be nice to see a general change of interior. Glass is often foggy, making it a bit difficult to see the pastries. Decor hasn’t been updated since… forever I guess. Prices, like everywhere else, are a bit too high. Other than that, and that it’s in the madness of Woodrow Plaza, it’s a solid neighborhood staple."
"My wife came into the bakery on Wednesday May 10 to buy a loaf of RYE BREAD because she saw a sign in the window “ RYE BREAD is Back-the girl behind the counter puts it in the bag as if it was thrown up in the air and then stuffed into the bag ; here is my photo of how she packed the bread, it’s to be done uniform like any other loaf of sliced bread; do you think this is acceptable-I don’t!!!!"
"Got home and my pastries were stale and lobster tails were sour I went to this bakery for years . I called and they told me they were sorry . But no offer to replace. I have the box and will throw them out . Just was expecting a little better service . Disappointing ."
