"One of the last, real, Family bakeries in the area! A good variety of all the usual suspects and breads, all baked as expected. They maintain the variety I feel by cutting down on specific quantities of each,- a fair tradeoff, so shop early if you have a specific need. I've lived in the area since mid 90s, and watched too many of this type of shop close at an increasing rate, many bought out by chain bakeries that ship product in from miles away. I hopw this one survives."
"Pleasant people, but the rugelach needs work. They were dry, not flaky, and the cinnamon ones were bitter bc of too much cinnamon. First time seeing circular rugelach baked on the cut sides and not on a solid dough side; on several the sugar baked out of the filling and caramelized on the bottom. The challie needed more egg, it was paper white, and it was a kind of tough, like maybe kneaded a too long. Last criticism: EASE UP ON THE PLASTIC. Have you heard it isn't healthy and it's horrible for our environment?"
"Horrible experience with them . I ordered a cake a week before and it was confirmed. Came to pick it up and they forgot to make it . They made me wait for an hour to make a new cake and then wanted to charge me double the price that was given to me when I placed the order. The owner is very rude , don’t know how he is still in business being so nasty to clients . Instead of trying to solve the situation which thier store made a mistake, he wanted me to pay double the price and was screaming at me ."
"The people working at this bakery are incredibly rude and disrespectful. I was set to get a delivery of my goods on 10am as per our written agreement. They call me at 7 am saying that the delivery person is waiting outside the venue. After I told the associate that we had scheduled for 10 am delivery and that I was far and would’ve be able to get there she hung up the phone on me . She then called me back a few minutes later and put all the blame on me and said she would refund me my money and not bring the goods all. It’s completely mind boggling that a business would not acknowledge their mistakes but instead take it out on the customers. she messed up on the delivery time And apparently it wasn’t worth it for her . She then hung up for the second time . I have no idea how these people are still in business when they have people working that have zero respect for people ."
"Wonderful apple strudel - flaky rather than doughy. Rugelach was nicely balanced and not too sweet. Fantastic! Everything looked great! Subtracting a point for the corn bread. It was a decent Jewish rye but was, by no means, authentic corn bread. Wasn't as dense or moist as actual corn bread."
