"This is a neighborhood cocktail bar but also the kind of place that impresses at the same time. The atmosphere is sophisticated but welcoming, and they have cute outdoor seating. The cocktail program changes seasonally, and what’s great is that they’ll save some of the most popular cocktails on their regular menu, like the “I’d like to buy a vowel, Pat.” Their food menu features seafood dishes. The oyster selection is always excellent, and their lobster roll is good. Their bread is under-rated; it comes with a nice house butter that I think has paprika and has a nice depth of flavor. Don’t come here too hungry, though, as the price of the food options can add up quickly. The service is always excellent. Carson, if she still works there, is our favorite server, and she has given us complimentary tiny cocktails before, making us feel at home."

"The staff is excellent. It's more of a bar vibe—very loud and bustling, and yes, I was probably twice as old as the other patrons so keep that in mind. If you are looking for a quiet dinner spot, this is not it. That said, the food is good—fresh. And I really enjoyed the seafood!"

"Grand Army is one of our favorite spots in Downtown Brooklyn. Their food is top notch. Most of the time and most of their crew is awesome and present. The last two times we went there we were told that there is no food being served, thankfully I asked to use the restroom, and asked someone else to make sure and they told us that of course the kitchen is open. Not sure what’s with this confusion, it happened twice to us not once. Other than that we really really enjoy this place!"

"Cute date spot around the area. Great vibe. They have several independent wine label offerings. I ordered the house bread and was given half a loaf of it (well they do charge $11), it was quite dense but the miso butter is great."

"I love Grand Army, came with a friend the first time and then brought friends here the second time. First time, I was impressed by my friend's taste in food, second time, my friends were impressed with MY taste in food. Would definitely come here again - menu and themes seem to change every couple of months (every season?) And each time the variations don't seem to change the quality of the food. Cocktails are fantastic as well - purple parrots at the moment is quite good. For the go around, we ordered 1 of every entree and all of it was delicious. I don't even remember the names of the dishes, just order whatever you want and you won't be disappointed"
