"Great spot, no kitchen but he let us bring food in. The pinball games were all in great condition, drinks were great, too. We were just passing by to kill time but I'd come back again."
"Nothing against the staff of this place but the owner(s?) is/are next level cheap. For example, he has matches turned off on all the machines and has removed certain extra balls from the game, lowered the ball save time etc. Do you really need the extra dollar? Seems like a lot of good players play there based on the scores/reply value, but taking away things like normal ball save times certainly isn’t going to bring new players in. I honestly don’t care about the money but it feels very cheap. It might seem knit-picky but so is removing the match setting. The machines are well maintained, though don’t expect to play classics—apart from a very tilt sensitive twilight zone and a very playable creature, there are only new games but again, they’re well maintained which is a rarity. drink prices reflect the insane price of rent in ny so now grudges there. Edit: based on the response, I imagine you’re wonderful in relationships."
"Great place, friendly bartenders and a cool vibe. The drink prices are very reasonable (especially for the area) and the pinball machines are fun and well maintained. I like to hang out here regularly as I won’t spend a ton and the crowd is fun as well."
"I visited 3 pinball venues in NYC and Jackbar was by far my favourite. It's clear that Sam loves pinball and loves sharing it with people. The machines are clearly well looked after and as far as I could see all the newer games were "Pro" versions of the machines, which feel smoother to play. I'll definitely be back."
"I visited after dinner and grabbed a beer. Across from the bar is a wall lined with pinball machines from all kinds of sources. I recognized the Star Wars one, but there were at least two dozen. I didn't play any, as it was a bit late to take the time, but I liked the place's vibe."
