"Purchased a used 2009 Toyota Tacoma from Hatt Auto Sales, sight unseen. I relied on photos from the ad, a grainy FaceTime video, Joe’s word and the positive google reviews for my purchase decision. Only dealt with Joe for the entire transaction. He always answers calls/text and was professional. The dealer fee is reasonable. He helped get the truck set up for transport to me. The issue comes when I receive the truck sold as is and it’s not what it was said to be. I was told the truck had only minimal surface rust per Joe’s word. Told that it had a new frame per recall which looks to be true however all other components underneath have major corrosion so it’s not a matter of opinion ( see photos). Body rust in some areas undisclosed Major rust underneath on body and all exposed components, rusted hose clamps that are broken entirely. Front drivers side wheel hub/ bearing needs replaced. It’s noisy running straight and louder turning right. Front brake pads were replaced but left warped rotors on, causes major wheel shake when braking at highway speeds. Loud exhaust leak that was said to be repaired before sending the truck to me. It’s rusted from the manifold all the way back and all of has to be replaced including the rusted through/ missing heat shields. Major scratches on passenger side that have been touched up but would require sand and repaint - looks like prior vandalism I paid $11,049 for a a used truck so I expected imperfections, however I will spend several thousand to get the wheel hub, front brakes, complete exhaust fixed and be stuck with a truck with excessive rust and ugly scratches on passenger side. There are other imperfections that I was aware of prior to purchase and not worth mentioning. These are only the ones that I found after receiving and driving. I would not have purchased this vehicle if seen in person. At the end of this they are easy to talk to and will make the sale, issue is the vehicle is in too rough shape and was not disclosed. I paid an additional $1,000 ( to transport company) to have the truck transported to me and would gladly pay another $1,000 to send the truck back for return if Hatt Auto Sales believes I got a good buy. It needs work and no reasonable amount of money can repair the rust damage this vehicle has. You guys are more than welcome to buy it back, otherwise this review is fair and accurate."
