Enterprise Rent-A-Car

"The car and overall renting experience was good. However, the charge on my card was not. I was advised the deposit on the rental will be given back upon return of the vehicle. The full charge posted on my credit card. Now I’m being told the deposit portion will be refunded after so many days. I’m on the hook for that full price until the credit card company processes the refund."

"I have bad experience here. Twice they didn’t want to pick me up in the past. Told me they don’t pick up people from Paterson. Keep in mind I’m only 1.2 miles away. Called corporate number and they told me it wasn’t true. So they had to schedule pick up. Another time, I reserved a car the night before and received confirmation. when I got there, they told me they don’t have the car I reserved. And I will have to pay more for a different class, $99 per day .Original reservation was $121 for two days , taxes and fees include. Their excuse was it’s my fault because it was not reserved 24 hours ahead of time. I told them that is not acceptable and told me there’s nothing they can do. Didn’t even offer to call another location to see what they had available as they did in the past."

"When I arrived at Enterprise in Clifton, I was looking forward to renting a nice 7 passenger mini van. The van that was offered to me was a Chrysler mini van with deep scratches all around the vehicle on every corner front and back. I convinced the staff member to rent me a different vehicle. He made me wait quite a while to clean the vehicle. The vehicle was still dirty inside & out with a few holes inside and the tank had a quarter of gas. Plus, the employee asked me for a few documents which were not asked for all the other times that I rented vehicles this year. Whatever documents are needed, enterprise should communicate that before customers arrive. Additionally, the $300 deposit is insane. Basically, a minimum of $500 is needed to rent a vehicle."

"Gary was very helpful and informative when picking up the car. It was quick and easy. The car was a little dirty during pickup, but we worked it out. Eric made sure to ask about how the trip was to address any concerns during the return. Overall, Enterprise is once again the best car rental company to rent from. Nothing tops the quality of service from the employees here."

"While the saying "you get what you pay for" holds true with rental cars (my insurance covered a basic model), that's not the focus of this review. The true stars at Enterprise Rent-A-Car on Clifton's Main Ave are the fantastic crew! Eric, the person who assisted me, particularly impressed me. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. When I wasn't thrilled with my initial rental car, Eric went above and beyond. He offered, free of charge, to find a more suitable vehicle for me. He also kept me updated on the payment confirmation from my insurance for the rental. Finally, upon returning the car, Eric swiftly completed the inspection, getting me back on my way quickly. A big thank you again to Eric for his exceptional service, and to the entire crew for making my rental experience a breeze!"
