"Penske: 5/5 Apple Auto & Truck Rental Ltd: 1/5 On their website, Penske guarantees a truck with no advertisement of any compensation if a truck is missed. We took this as a good sign since U-Haul gives a measly $50 gift card if a truck is missed and plus, the lady at the Penske store called us a day before to confirm our reservation. Once my uncle and his wife got there, no truck! We even got a verbal commitment saying that everything was there so I'm not even sure how a truck could be there when it wasn't. The employee then gave them a handwritten note to head over to the Port Chester, NY Home Depot for our truck, which once we got there, the store workers said that they had no idea what we were talking about so they could not release the truck to them. Then, we had to dial Penske Customer Service who then took care of it all for us. I believe the situation was such that the employees at Apple Auto & Truck Rental Ltd wrote down a location on paper but did not make the necessary changes in the system, which is just a complete failure on their part. Not sure what all the positive reviews are for this place or maybe we just happened to be one of the only bad experiences which can then lead to other, more negative assumptions. After all that, Apple Auto said that they would refund $30, FAR worse than U-Haul but Penske said that they would refund $100."

"Came here to rent a one-way truck to FL from NY. Came in from the city by Metro North (Mt Vernon East station), a very pleasant and quick 15 minute walk to get there. I was greated by Edna who was perhaps the most knowledgeable, attentive, helpful and downright enthusiastic about the product attendant that I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. She was able to make sure that I understood all of the details of the truck, how to operate it, even down to assisting me in adjusting my mirrors before hitting the road!!! 5 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ service and I'd definitely reccomend renting from this location to anyone!!!"

"After our confirmed truck rental for another company just was not there, Apple came through same day. Edna was so nice and took the time to teach me everything I needed to know about the truck (DEF fluid refill, the mechanical lift, etc). Great, friendly service."
