Reviews
"We stopped on our travels to The Depot Restaurant and Tavern . It had good reviews and the menu had a nice selection of items. The staff was knowledgeable, accommodating and efficient. It was a bit chilly and we were sat in front of the A/C. When we realized how cool it was, the staff kindly offered to move us . The lighting was a bit dark but the restaurant is a converted train station and was decorated with that theme. Ample seating as well, with bar seating and loads of tables. We both chose A garlic and Herb chicken wrap very similar one had BBQ sauce and the other had an original garbage sauce. Which was supposed to have some heat to it that builds the more you have of it. I didn't taste a whole lot of heat, but the wrap was still good. Food came out very quickly . Overall a good lunch,if we are in the area again we would stop back by."
"Very good food, not far from the highway. Appears to be a joint where the locals hang, pretty busy for a Thursday lunch. Today they were suffering from the all too well known , "short staff" but our server Tiff was hauling butt trying to keep up and the cook kept on point. Their famous 'garbage sauce' was pretty good, a sweet hot sauce. I had the chicken Philly, plenty of cheese and peppers, and most importantly good bread. That put hubby off, his club sandwich on sour bread was untoasted making the sandwich a bit much. Did enjoy their tenders in garbage sauce....and the price was right. Would stop again"
"Went for lunch seated immediately in back room had a nice lunch. Food came quickly their garbage sauce is delicious great server nice atmosphere clean bathrooms and plenty of parking. Cool old train station restaurant"
"This place was recommended to us by a couple of families so we decided to stop by to check it out. It was an old Depot to a train station (hence the name) tucked away from the main town. You can tell this is where the locals come. If you're looking for a fancy place looks elsewhere, this place is no frills. However what they lack in decor they make up in food. Most of our dishes were quiet good, with the exception of the salad which had a very chewy chicken to it. Fried calamari was excellent probably because it was extra fried (same with the fries). I had a wrap and the kids had grilled cheese and chicken tenders. Again the only knock was the weird tasting chicken on the salad but other than that a solid choice."
