"U-Haul's storefront and customer service are terrible. They tried to charge me for over seven hours of rental time when I booked the truck for 24 hours. The storefront employee was lazy and incompetent, failing to update my return time and date in the system and instead writing it on the paper contract. After seven hours, I received an email from U-Haul accusing me of not returning the truck. I had to call customer service to explain the situation, which took 35 minutes, and I didn't receive any compensation or even an extra 35 minutes for the truck. U-Haul's customer service deserves 0 stars. I will make sure to leave a 1-star review and ask my relatives and friends to do the same."

"I was charged an extra $65 after I left instead of someone checking the equipment and letting me know that I would be charged extra for a gas service fee. I don’t rent from U-Haul a lot not even every year how am I supposed to know that when I paid extra up front that wasn’t paying for the gas… the employees don’t care though..I dropped the truck off early I would of happily just ran and put gas in the truck to avoid an extra charge AFTER I left. poor service and communication"

"All the staff were friendly and helpful when we rented our truck and tow dolly. There was a big safety issue and the car we were towing came undone from the safety straps they installed. We nearly got on a big car crash on the freeway as a result of this. It took us two months to finally reach the branch to make sure this doesn't happen to other customers but all we got back was a response that they refunded ten percent of the equipment fee back to our banks. They not been responding to emails and phone calls since. Management, please take more responsibilities in the health and safety of your customers. Thank you"
