Takkii Ramen Riverhead NY

"Went here with my daughter on a weekday around lunchtime. We were confused on who to talk to and where to go to be seated. After standing around puzzled, someone finally acknowledged us and sat us down. We were able to scan the QR code for the menu and there is a tablet to order the food. Food came out fast along with our drinks, most of workers we interacted with were very nice. The food: eh. Just eh. Nothing out of this world good. The pork buns were pretty much empty, with a tsp of filling inside. The taste of the bun was unusual compared to other places I’ve had them. Disappointing. We ordered two ramen entrees. It was ALOT of food, but not very flavorful and the flavors in it didn’t mesh well. Mine was WAY too spicy. The worst part was me and my daughter had eaten like 2 hours before and had small appetites. Also we were not loving the food. Someone came over (assuming it was the manager or owner) and started making pretty rude comments towards us about how we didn’t finish the food. He must’ve said “oh wow you guys barely ate anything, why? Why aren’t you eating?” I mean it when he did this multiple times. We felt SO uncomfortable and couldn’t wait to leave. We paid for our food and had it bagged up to take home. We already planned to bring home our meal before we sat down. But this behavior was really uncomfortable and we’ll never go back. Don’t recommend for food and because of this manager/owner whoever he was."

"What a nice little gem in Riverhead. I never would have found this on the North side of town if someone didn't post there. Great spot. Food was amazing and a great value and size. The staff is super friendly. The atmosphere is good, well decorated to the theme. The ramen was great! Fresh and delicious. I recommend it highly and will be back. Tell 'em Barsnobs sent ya!"

"Very good food but the Second time I went, i waited for 15 min for someone to sit me down. Nobody came. There were empty tables and seats on the windows but the staff don’t clean fast enough. If the owner reads this. You need to train better the servers and Bussers."

"we were very excited to try this place but we were let down. customer service was only OK, we ordered shrimp tempura ramen bowl and got a pork one instead. we also ordered some calamari and we only got like 6 or 7 pieces of calamari. we wanted to like it since it’s very close to our home and work but they are over priced for the bland and little amount of food they give. maybe in the future we will try again but good luck to the business and welcome to riverhead :) this is just my opinion"

"When you first walk into Takkii you can tell that they took the time and effort to make it what they wanted. The vibe is authentic and cozy reminding you of a Japanese village. The service was quick and responsive. Each person we interacted with was polite and respectful. Attention to detail was definitely not missed at Takkii. Lastly the food was amazing, we sampled many different dishes as it was our first dining experience. Each dish was unique in flavor and made fresh to order. Make sure you try their fruit teas! We are excited to come visit and hopefully Takkii becomes a mainstay here in Riverhead. We wish Takkii and their staff nothing but the best."
