Hero Haven Pizza & more 478 Neighborhood Road, Shirley, NY 11967

"I had a terrible experience ordering from Hero Haven. I didn’t even get the food so I can’t comment on that. I called in a delivery for 2 pizza pies and a salad for my students at summer school on their last day. I ordered at about 10am and the woman on the phone said “see you soon”. Well, an HOUR later at 11am, she called back to say the delivery guy and pizza guy were not in yet, the ovens aren’t even hot, and that the food would take another 30 mins (which clearly was not true it would have taken another hour at least). I was pissed because the kids had been waiting for food and now I was scrambling to try and get them food from somewhere else before we left at 12. If only she had told me that from the jump OR just not taken the order. When I started explaining I was upset about what happened, she passed off the phone immediately to a delivery driver who was there and he was very kind and reassuring. He said the store should have never taken the order. Not going to order from again!"

"Came here in Tuesday they have special buy 1 hero get 2nd half off big sign all heros $10.30 I got 6 hero and they want to charge me 18.99 for 1 hero I asked the lady your sign says 10.30 for ALL HERO she tells me her sign is wrong she needs to fix it . Well that's false advertising and against law!! So fix it!!"

"Hero Haven should stick to heros and leave the pizza out completely. Picked up a few slices last night and I'm still paying for it. Sick as a dog. I had a chicken bacon parm slice and 2 regular cheese slices, all awful. The chicken was dried up bits and the bacon was black and crunchy. The crust- hard as a rock. There should be some guidelines followed about how long you can have this garbage sitting in the case. Old product should be tossed out- not sold to customers! Very disappointed but lesson learned the hard way, food poisoning is no joke."

"I left my order up to the chef. He made me and incredible roast beef sandwich. It was outstanding. I was just there on a layover and a friend suggested I try this place. Got lucky!!!"

"The chicken cutlet and bacon hero I just received was horrendous! The hero was drier than the desert! The chicken cutlet was pieced together like it was cut up and dry like it sat all day along with the bacon strips. The melted cheddar even looked old. There was NO moisture whatsoever. Very disappointing. I Am pretty new to the neighborhood, thought I would give it a try. Do better."
