A Cabin By The Stream

"Beautiful property with a lot of thoughtful details. Board games, puzzles, movies, binoculars, star charts, and a well equipped kitchen. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. It was very well heated given the colder temps outside during our stay. However, I can't give it 5 stars for several reasons. The beds were definitely camp beds and very uncomfortable (bring your own pillows). There were huge ants EVERYWHERE. We had to be extra careful not to bring them home with us. We vacuumed after every meal to try to keep them at bay. My 6 ft tall husband hit his head on the entry way several times. It is very low and there is no caution marker. The firewood was all green and would not light - husband was disappointed there was no fire to be had. It was the only campfire he has ever failed to start. Our family had a great time, and there are plenty of things to do on-site and in the area."

"Slightly on the expensive side but an amazing place, loved the cabin. Beautifully maintained, very clean. Came here with a group of friends for stargazing at Cherry Springs. Although it was cloudy, there were a ton of activities/board games inside the cabin and in general, the surrounding was so beautiful. It is a great place for a peaceful weekend getaway, would definitely recommend."

"We only stayed for a night, but we had an absolutely wonderful time at the cabin! It's exactly as adorable as it looks in the pictures. Chris stocked the cabin up with everything we could possibly need, from pots and pans to board games. We loved listening to the stream on the little balcony--we're from the NY area, so quiet isn't something we experience...ever. It really felt like our own home away from home. We went for the stargazing, but it happened to be overcast the night we stayed. Hope to be back soon and catch the stars on next visit :)"

"Enjoyed a wonderful stay! This is the perfect place to relax with friends and family. A charming, cozy, and comfortable cabin with all the amenities of home. Spent some lovely evenings around the fire pit as a light snow fell and genuinely enjoyed simply appreciating the beauty of the area. A great place to stay and a perfect retreat! Great hosts and a great cabin!"

"My husband and I spent our 1st year anniversary here. I called Greg just a few days before with fingers crossed that they would have an opening. He asked our reason for visiting and suggested the cabin by the stream for our trip, since they have other properties. He helped us get the reservation set up and sent out directions and instructions for the cabin. Him and his wife Kate also sent a list of places to go , things to do and see as well as the best places to eat. They even included a specific list for that weekend that we were going to be there with activities to do. Although we never met in person, they went above and beyond to make our anniversary unforgettable and special! They even included some surprises in our weekend though friends in the area that we met through their activity guide! We cannot say enough nice things about them ! We beyond enjoyed our trip to Potter county and will stay with them again next time we are in the area!"
