Chester's Chicken

"Worst chicken sandwich I'd had in my life so far. It was barely luke-warm, and I think it had a bone in it. Go to 7/11, if you want better food."

"Having been to Chester's in the South, we were happy to come across this store while in NJ. While the shopping center is in dire need of refurbishment, Chester's was very clean and well maintained. When you first walk in, you are presented with Rita's Ices counter. You have to walk to the back of the store for Chester's. We were very surprised Rita's had a contant line, and Chester's was empty at around 1:30 p.m., lunchtime. Both my husband and I had a 2 piece meal, he had white meat, I had dark meat, and we both had the macaroni and cheese. Although mashed potatoes were advertised, there were none available for purchase. The chicken and sides were basically all precooked and kept warm under heat lamps. That was disappointing as in the South, the chicken was freshly battered and fried. Needless to say, the food was not hot, just warm. The chicken was still flavorful with a nice crunch. The macaroni and cheese, although creamy, was pasty and overcooked. This Chester's unfortunately did not meet our expectations."

"I went in at closing one night and it wasn't the greatest. But today I go in to give them a second try. And boy I wish I didn't. Chicken pink inside and very sloppy."

"Avoid!! Came to this location and the service was good but the food was horrible! I ordered a chicken sandwich that tasted and looked stale! You can tell it’s been sitting out all day. The mac n cheese was stale as well. Very disappointing"
