Doner Point 1017 Main Street, Paterson, NJ 07503

"Before the owner claims the pictures were taken after consumption, this was BEFORE consuming any food. The veggies and bread were removed from the platter to see how much meat was actually in there. The receipt also very clearly states that we ordered rice but in the picture, clear as day, there are a handful of fries. The sandwich was also. Wet clearly unbitten and the meat was moved in the second picture to just show the portion they had out into the “1.5” portion of the sandwich. This place is extremely overpriced. My husband and I decided to pickup dinner from here while we were in the area and paid for extra meat in both our platter and sandwich and both had a regular amount of meat. We had also ordered rice with our platter and we were given 7 fries exactly instead. For a $38 plate it was extremely disappointing. There was 1.5 slices of tomato and one piece of soggy bread but no rice. The sandwich had spots with no meet at all in it and we had to supplement from the platter so we weren't eating bread without anything. They also didn't include any yogurt sauce or hot sauce so the food was dry. For an almost $84 meal it was extremely disappointing and frustrating at how cheap they were being considering the price. The meat was flavored well but still didn't justify the price point. The fries were soggy and had no salt on them so we threw the entire container out because they were inedible. The spring rolls were actually cheese rolls and lacked any real flavor. If it wasn't for the errors in our orders and the price not matching the amount of meat we received we would have gone back to give them another try but we definitely will not be returning because we felt extremely cheated. Definitely need to do better for such a popular spot on Main Street in Paterson."

"I recently dined at Doner Point in Paterson, NJ, and it was a fantastic experience! The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual meals and special occasions.The menu offered a wide variety of traditional Turkish dishes. I started with the ayran and hummus and fries also iskender.Each item was fresh and flavorful. For the main course, I had iskender which were really made from fresh meat and perfectly seasoned and not even oily as other places. The accompanying fries and hummus complemented the dish beautifully. The staff was attentive and friendly. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. The service was quick, and our food arrived hot and fresh.The restaurant had a cozy and authentic feel, with Turkish decor and soft music in the background. It created a pleasant dining environment that enhanced the overall experience.The prices were reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes of the food. It’s a great value for a true taste of Turkish cuisine.Overall, DONER POINT is a must-visit for anyone in the Paterson area looking to enjoy delicious Turkish food in a welcoming setting. "Had doner the first time and was not disappointed at all. The meat was really tender and delicious. The only improvement I could think of was the quantity of yogurt that came underneath the main course. The yogurt could be an optional base for the traditional main courses, but then I appreciate authenticity. The homemade ayran was delicious as well. The staff were super welcoming and stayed beyond their shift because of us. We didn't get any ill/annoyed vibes from anyone despite running late (didn't even realize until we finished)"

But the real star of the show was the food. The doner was absolutely mouthwatering, crispy bread The best part is, staff were so friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed and more. The atmosphere was modern and clean.
