"Have been a repeat customer for a few years now, and my experience over the weekend helps tell why. The food service industry is a tough business, and anyone who thinks that EVERY establishment will ALWAYS have a PERFECT product on EVERY order that they fulfill. Nothing in the world can be perfectly controlled except how people respond when things don't go accordingly to plan. Such was the case over the weekend, when I got my typical takeout order which I get every month or so, and it was so off the usual high mark that I pointed it out by phone to the manager the next day, so as to help improve the breed. I just retired from 40 years owning a service business of my own, and a good owner or manager will always want to hear constructive criticism about their product or service. My issue was met with genuine concern, and everything was cheerfully made right by me. This is what you want from any business, not to just get blown off after voicing your concern, but to stand behind their product. I encourage anyone who has a less than perfect experience at the Pork Authority to not flame them in a public review, and simply let them know privately. They run a great local business, and do the right thing for their customers"
"I’m a foodie from boston and have to say this is a good spot for the area. We were here with a large group and sat outside. There’s an outdoor bar with corn hole. Brisket was very tender and juicy. One said the pulled pork sandwich was bomb. All the sides were good. Loved the Mac n cheese and pickles. GM was really friendly and accommodating. Would recommend if you’re in the area!"
"Hi! Local foodies here. We tried this place for the first time tonight. It was absolutely delicious!! We met James, he runs the smoker. Very nice man. He even brought dog bones out for our dog. We ordered a combo of smoked items, mac &cheese and coleslaw- all were fantastic!! The sauces were also delicious. Very simple and easy going atmosphere. Only negative is they forgot our cornbread, not a big deal. By the time we were done eating we didnt have room for it anyways. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommend!"
"I don’t normally do reviews EVER, but I felt like this was necessary. After a long day of being at the local lake, I happen to pass by a BBQ place that I thought would be great for dinner since I was not in the mood for pizza. Well, I wish I would’ve went for the pizza. I spent $50.49. I took one bite of my food and ended up vomiting 20minutes later because it tasted like lighter fluid, and the taste of it was stuck in my throat. I also couldn’t believe the price of the macaroni and cheese for that size cup, it was TERRIBLE, so so bad. What a waste of money, and a shame to throw out those ribs & brisket. I couldn’t even give it to my large dogs that’s how strong it was. It’s unfortunate that a cute place like that serves that kind of barbecue to the public. I even remember asking if there was a sample because of the prices. I can see why they hide not giving samples. I really hope this was only this occasion not just me."
"I don't think I've ever had worst bbq. The meat tasted like a gallon of lighter fluid and was 100% burnt. How can someone look at this and serve it! I'm so but it's not like it was a bad batch. Both ribs and brisket was awfuk and the Mac and cheese was worse than store bought velveta. Well cough it up as expensive dog food. Please pay attention to you meat temperature and don't let it sit on a warmer for hours. It just dries out."
