"Having long waits to check-out seems to be a business standard at all your locations, I waited a little over a half hour to check-out, this was around 4:30pm. The end of the line was back by the fitting rooms almost to the back of the store. This is a new location and you put in 10 registers yet was only operating 5, I spoke to management and was told that more people would be coming in yet only one additional register was opened. (I also asked management if they were hiring, they were not so I don't see this changing in the near future) They wrapped the line backwards so instead of moving in the direction of the doors to exit you ended up in the middle of the store and had to maneuver around the long check-out line to get to the front door. Additionally the escalator going down into the lower level was broken. They closed the fitting rooms around 4:30pm. And finally management blocked two Isles in the lower level with racks from another area to mop the floor, isn't that what an overnight shift is for? This was poor decision making. Clearly you need more staff at your locations but corporates lack of addressing this shows us you don't care about the customer experience, profit over people. The customer will continue to patronize your stores for the reasonably priced items so there is no reason to care about the overall customer experience. I will say that the staff was friendly, helpful and courteous so my three stars are for them and the prices."
"wanted to give you guys zero stars, but this is the worst line ever. only 2 cash registers are opened. Get more cashiers to work. Worst place ever!! not even the Burlington malls are this bad. Do better. and please do not reply to this review with that lame response. It’s very repetitive, and many people complain about the same problem, yet you guys dont do ANYTHING!!"
"I went to this Burlington downtown Newark NJ today to buy a gift for my cousin. I was in line for an hour and four minutes waiting to make my purchase. I spoke with one of the managers, he said that they cut a lot of the employees hours and because of this reason, some of them had quit. They only had three cashiers on the registers. The cashiers were taking their time while ringing up the customers merchandise and bagging it. The manager spent that whole hour standing near the cash registers talking to the cashiers for that hour that I was online waiting. Customers were complaining to the manager about the length of time that they had to wait online to make their purchases. The manager did absolutely nothing about the wait time. As you can see from these pictures the line was wrapped around three times and led all the way to the back of the store. One of the police officers that work there said that this is like this every single day. I would not recommend anyone to shop at the location."
"This place is disgusting. It is a hood rat roach bag, immigrant, infested nightmare. Everything they bring to Newark is a lesser quality. First Whole Foods now this place. Messy disorganized everything strewn all over the place. people sitting on the floor, especially in the shoe section piling up shoes trying them on and leaving them there. I’ll never go there again. This place is new just opened. They should be ashamed of themselves. The Dollar Bazzar store that was there before was cleaner and better organized."
"The store didn't have sufficient merchandise, and there's no layaway until further notice. The workers in the store were very kind and msnnerable. I will update about this store in the future, seeing how it just recently opened.,and will improve if not I'll go back to BCF at Jersey Garden Mall where they have an abundance of merchandise and have layaway"
