"A fun, relaxing venue. The service was great as well as the food. Entertainers were top notch. Will definitely visit again."
"I wanted to love this event…let me first say, the band did an awesome job, but the venue can do better. I purchased my single ticket fairly early for the Nina Simone show. Since I attend alone, I generally try to get a seat right up front so I get the full experience. The doors open at 5:30 for a 7pm show, and there’s a great menu that I was excited to try. I showed up around 6pm and there were 4 people already in the venue space. I realize at this moment that my table is butted up against the stage and the seats are packed like sardines. I was just right of center stage and my back was to 2 out of 3 of the lead band members, thankfully due to empty seats around me I eventually turned my chair for the view in the photo. That was my view for the entire 2 hour set. I understand wanting to maximize the space, but when I stepped out for a minute I discovered that half of the room was empty! I’m normally never one to complain, but I did stop at the desk and just asked to make a recommendation to move the tables off the stage in the future so patrons have a better experience. I want them to succeed. Which is what leads me to writing this, I wasn’t rude or aggressive when asking if I could make a recommendation. I made it clear that I didn’t want anything except hopes of helping them improve. The gentleman’s response came off a bit rude as he told me that those tables are normally restricted. (Clearly, they weren’t restricted as I was not the only person with the music stand view) He then stated that the band chooses where they put their stands, so I asked if maybe it was something they could mention to bands when they set up and he looked at me like I was nuts. I really was hoping for more of a speakeasy/Greer Theatre vibe/seating… It also would have been nice to know when last call was and when things like coffee would no longer be available. I’d also recommend adding some desserts. Again, I want you guys to succeed, but the guest experience needs work."
"The band was cookin'. The staff was friendly and attentive. I did not have food, but it looked delish. The sound guy, however, was out to lunch. The mix was meh, the acoustic piano was poorly miked with no bass, tinny mid-range and good upper register. I was in the balcony and the seats were excellent. The plexiglass height made it a bit of a struggle to see the band. I either had to sit up very straight to look over the plexiglass or slouch down and look through the plexiglass. Overall, a fine experience, but I wish the front of the house sound was better."
"Went to the 4th of July Non Stop Hamilton sing a long and we sang non stop for better than 2 hours. It was such a great event. The seating was fantastic and it didn't feel jammed like it had in the past for concerts. This was just a great atmosphere for this event."
"Just attended our sixth concert at City Winery! Perfect venue with great food, great wine, and amazing talent. We absolutely love it! Great date night or evening with friends."
