"Great time enjoying the Ohio beach vibe. Many great shops and food spots, but I particularly love Ruff Life On The Lake. I loved the staff and the food! Will definitely return for future visits."

"Upon check-in to cottage 30, our mini fridge was frosted over and not working, the Keurig wouldn't turn on and there was mold in our ice maker. Maintenance fixed these things the following morning, but for how much they charge this should not happen. On day 2 we also found ants under the couch. They put traps down, but it was clear that housekeeping was not cleaning under the couch. The floors are extremely loud and creaky and when you step in the center of the shower, it makes an extremely loud cracking sound like the floor joist below is loose. Management offered no compensation when we we raised these issues, just "sorry, we'll send someone out". On the plus side, the view is fantastic and the grounds are well maintained. Given the price and issues we experienced, not sure if we would stay again."

"The location is great, the view is fabulous. I have stayed here several times. The furniture is fairly uncomfortable, and floors are REALLY creaky, especially cottage 25's second bedroom! But otherwise so much fun!"

"I have stayed at the lodge before, and it was wonderful. I expected more from the cottages. I will start with my first impression of cottage 35, the floors in the center of the cottage, hallways and middle bedroom, were noisy. I do not mean creaks, they were LOUD pops and cracks. After unloading and placing the items in the refrigerator, we spilled a little water, and we wiped it up with a paper towel. The floors were dirty. This was confirmed by the mat near the front door that hadn't even been vacuumed. Loose crusty salty dirt. There was a dirty mug left in the dishwasher. The shower is impossible to start the water without being inside, so you get blasted with cold water. The glass shower wall leaked and a large puddle collected. The water heater would not stay on for us on our second day. There is a framed list of instructions on how to maintain your electric and water heater should it not work. The code from the water heater was not listed, so we didn't call maintenance. I let them know if all of these major problems when I checked out. They were sorry and would tell maintenance about it. However, never wrote down the issues. I prefer lodging without DIY instructions. Obviously, maintenance is aware of the problems, or the instructions wouldn't be there. The doors were hard to latch, and could not get the deadbolt to engage overnight as the door simply didn't fit right. The WiFi would not stay connected. I will not stay at the cottages again."
