"I am currently a sophomore and about to hopefully graduate in December and I am a student at the Blair center in the Logan Valley Mall. In my year that I have been here, I have really mixed feelings about Penn Highlands as a whole. Penn Highlands is a great choice for those who want to get Gen Eds out of the way before going onto a four year university or gaining the knowledge/certification you need for a job in the workforce. HOWEVER, if you do not go to the Richland campus, you will 100% be bored. While you do not need to be a student at the Richland Campus to join a sports team, or a club/organization, your campus is 100% ignored for any events happening on campus. There are absolutely no sporting events, or campus events that happen at any other campus which makes it boring. Most promotions and other festivities that happen are usually geared more towards those at the Richland campus. As a former member of the eSports team (I was told I could join this semester, yet I was blocked by the athletic director and the eSports coach) I was told that I could play at home, however, it was very difficult to participate as a team because of this (they claimed they would be building a esports arena in blair, however, they never did and when asked they said yea we don't know). If you are a student who doesn't like to get involved and wants to just get gen eds done then this is perfect for you. But if you want to be involved with the college and more on-campus activities you might want to commute 40 to 90 minutes to the Richland campus in Johnstown."
"I took some Gen Eds here during highschool and summers to save money & staff always provided a great experience."
"Beat college in Blair County. Save your money on your first two years and then transfer for your Bachelor's Degree! Staff are awesome and friendly!"
"Starting school at Penn Highlands really eased my transition into college. All the staff have been helpful, the faculty are great, and the location is really convenient. There are a lot of on-campus activities here and I have made some great friends. It is also really affordable, and there are tons of scholarships to apply for to make it even more affordable. I will be transferring into a bachelor's degree program next fall, and because of my performance at Penn Highlands, I have been offered great transfer scholarships to multiple schools. It is a small school, but it has opened up doors to tons of opportunities for me."
"As a student for the last two years, I am quite pleased with this college as well as this location. The faculty are always incredibly helpful and ready to answer any questions you may have. The education here, as well as the ability to transfer your degree to the next step, is very important to me. The low tuition fees really help as well. While I'm looking forward to the next step in my education, I am going to miss the Blair campus."
