"I sold my house and moved in June 2024. I have had to make several phone calls to NREC to discontinue service and finalize billing. It is frustrating to call, talk with someone, be transferred, and then learn that I need the person who can "really help me" discontinue service to call me back. And then they do not. Today I called again as I was automatically billed for the house I sold. I waited for 20 minutes to speak to someone, and then was told by the person who answered that that she could only accept payment instead of helping me resolve my billing issue. I should call back in 15 in hopes of getting a different service agent who can help. Their customer service is subpar to say the least."
"Worest company ever every storm we lose power there is never an estimated time of restoration but oh boy is there a due date on my electric bill which never seems to reflect all of these power outages. Everything I. My home runs on electric. Heat hot water stove oven everything. So being without power for 15+ hours is rediculous"
"Unprofessional and rude the worse electric service ever. The way they talk to their customers isn't right."
"Our electric bill is 700 to 900 a month in the winter and 4 to 5 hundred in the summer. For a 3 bedroom house and we only heat 2 bedrooms and the bathroom. No explanation for why our bill is so high and now they say that April 1st our power will be shut off for a 4k bill."
"All I know is with a 15 dollar hike per customer in my township alone is 108000 a year so with all the other townships our power should be able to be fixed asap when it goes out!! Come on people do the math! Some townships have 2100 consumers x15$x12! Why does it take them so long to turn power back on?! No excuses now! Update why is ut always the same townships going out?! Honestly it's gotta be something. Maybe it's time to start clearing some trees in these hard hit areas! Always the same townships!"
