"I cannot say enough positive things about Pawsitive K9! We have had a truly amazing experience working with Maureen, Bridget and Luke. We enrolled our GSD puppy, Zuzu, in their puppy preschool to give her a solid foundation of obedience, neutrality and socialization before she reached adolescence. They've made training so easy for us - they teach and reinforce new skills in her training days, then provide me with detailed email recaps/instructions and videos to show me how to reinforce her new skills at home in-between lessons. They are super responsive, knowledgable and create a safe space where I know I can ask them anything, any time. Zuzu is now the MOST chill puppy I have ever met and I feel like I have the skillset as her dog-mom if we encounter anything in the future as she grows up or in new environments. I owe it all to Pawsitive K9!!! Thank you, Maureen, Bridget and Luke for everything!"
"I cannot express enough gratitude for Maureen's exceptional expertise and heartfelt dedication in training my mothers deaf Great Dane. From the moment we met Maureen, her passion for working with dogs shone through, and her knowledge of training techniques for deaf dogs was evident. Maureen's patience and understanding were remarkable as she tailored a training program specifically for the Dane, ensuring that every lesson was not only effective but also enjoyable for him. Her positive reinforcement methods fostered a strong bond between the dog and my mother and I am forever grateful for her guidance in helping us communicate effectively with him despite his deafness. I wholeheartedly recommend her services to anyone in need of compassionate and effective dog training!"
"In April of 2023, my wife and I got our first dog together a two year old mixed breed rescue. We were in love immediately but soon started to notice that our girl got overly reactive when walking by or meeting new people and animals. While it wasn't aggressive in nature it was something we felt we wanted and needed to address. So the search for the perfect training fit began. We first reached out to Pawsitive K-9 Behavior School after seeing them on social media and reading the client reviews. It was obvious to us that we made the correct choice as soon as we talked to Bridget and had our meet and greet with Maureen and Luke! We immediately felt at ease and they took the time to answer all and any questions we had. The training videos of them working with our dog are easy to follow and extremely informative. We could see the dedication and patience it took to get her to where she is and the changes in her behavior is amazing! It hasn't even been 3 months since the team at Pawsitive K-9 Behavior School became part of our lives and I look forward to continuing to work with them and have them remain part of our sweets girls life with us. Over all the results are beyond what I could have imagined and I will be forever grateful !"
"Three months ago, after another awkward “I swear he’s friendly - he just looks aggressive!” conversation over my anxious, barking dog, I decided enough was enough. My one-year-old husky rescue was no longer a puppy, and some of his habits were becoming personality traits. I had completed two rounds of group obedience training with him, but it just wasn’t working - in any new environment, nothing seemed to stick. I decided to seek better help. Enter: Bridget, Maureen, and the rest of the Pawsitive K9 staff. From the very beginning, they were my immediate support system. They saw my dog for the love bug that he really is, and helped him and me work through his flaws and anxieties. They set us up so by Day 1 we knew exactly what to expect, and every day I could actually see a difference. I chose the 10-day package, because I knew Bowie had a tendency to get comfortable in specific settings and had a hard time applying what he learned in new situations. I wanted him to have multiple opportunities to apply what he had learned with people who knew what to do when he got off track. Each week, either Maureen or Bridget and I would check-in with his progress, and they would adjust his schedule as necessary. Although they teach the same foundational concepts, it seemed like every day was adjusted to what BOWIE needed - not just their routine lesson plan. As a result, the crew took him into a wide variety of different places and expectations with the field trips (they have probably taken him to more places than I have, at this point!) When I told Bridget he hadn’t interacted with kids much, she brought him to her house to train him near her two-year-old son. That’s dedication. Now that we are finished with the 10 day classes, we will be attending private lessons AND group lessons, to help solidify these new behaviors (and keep us both accountable!) - which is included in the package! In addition, all the employees - but especially the two I talked to the most - are incredibly friendly, dedicated, kind, and just good people. It’s such a relief to feel like you have the support of someone who understands your dog, and who is available for anything you may need. After doing a LOT of research, I had chosen Pawsitive K9 Behavior School for a number of reasons - cost, proximity, video feedback, and reviews. I genuinely can say this was one of the best decisions I have made, period. If you are reading this review, you have found the dog trainer you need, so give them a call/email!"
"Bridget has been so helpful with Freeda. She is in Great Pyrenees rescue of Western Pa, and has some behavior issues. She is an Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees/Samoyed cross with resource guarding issues, no leash manners and was out of control. She is now well on her way to being a completely different dog and is IN LOVE with her trainer. On training day all she has to hear is Bridget is coming and she will sit at the window and wait. What a difference her training has made. She is now enjoyable to walk and is improving with ALL of her manners thanks to Bridget."
