"I have a very busy schedule and was thrilled to find out there was a basic obedience class that fit in my schedule. However on my first day of class the recommended exercise for leave it was to verbally command my dog and correct with the leash. I am not entirely new to dog training and simply used my leave it and rewarded after he left a plate of cheese alone. The instructor seemed visibly annoyed that I was avoiding correcting my dog. Strong hard corrections were recommended for everyone in the room for other exercises as well. I have taken classes at akc clubs, from military veterans, and other sport focused locations. I was unfortunately disappointed that this class was harsher than any I have taken before. I will not be finishing my classes after the first day."

"Both of my dogs have received training at Xcel, including the brat shown in these photos. We have taken obedience, agility, and rodeo dog classes. All of the instructors are great and I love the option that you can take private lessons. With their help, my wild puppy is well on her way to having an agility title someday.
