"We recently adopted a two-year-old yellow mixed Labrador rescue pup Ollie and were in need of some professional guidance to help Ollie adjust to his new home. Bruce Maldonado from Lorenzo Dog Training came highly recommended by a friend of a friend, and we couldn't be happier with the results. From the very first session, Bruce's expertise and genuine love for dogs were evident. He quickly assessed our pup's needs and tailored a training plan that addressed his specific behavioral issues. Bruce's patience and positive reinforcement techniques worked wonders, transforming our energetic but unruly Labrador into a well-behaved and happy member of our family. Bruce was always punctual, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He provided us with valuable tips and techniques to continue reinforcing good behavior at home. Our dog not only learned basic commands but also developed a stronger bond with us through the training process. We are so grateful to Bruce and Lorenzo Dog Training for their exceptional service. If you're looking for a dog trainer who truly understands and cares about your furry friend, we highly recommend Bruce. Thank you for helping our pup become the wonderful companion we knew he could be! Ken and Kelly Mace ---"
"I would highly recommend Jennifer Bobkoskie and Lorenzo's Dog Training to anyone interested in having their dog trained and having incredible results. My parents took their dog to Lorenzo's and had amazing results so I decided that it was time for me to have my dog trained there as well. I adopted my dog when she was 12 weeks old and did not take her to be trained until she was a little over a year but I wish I had earlier. She knew just the basic training before like sit, down, and stay, but it was only when she wanted to listen, she was reactive towards other dogs and some people on walks, and I could not trust her off leash because she would just run and not come back like it was a game of keep away. Now after working with Jen she is a completely changed pup in her aspects of training, she of course still has all her quirky character traits and spunkiness. I feel more than comfortable taking her off leash in public around other dogs people and any situation that we may encounter like loud noises. Our walks have completely changed now from me avoiding walking by other dogs to being able to confidently walk past any dog with her being comfortable and in a perfect heel position. I can enjoy doing more things with my dog now like going to patios and many other places in public that I could not before. My dog and my relationship has grown so much more now after training. My friends and family have even complemented me on how my dog is now and how great the training turned out. Jen was everything I could ask for and more in a dog trainer. While my dog was away for training she gave many updates and sent many pictures and communicated well with me so that my mind was at ease while sending my best friend to be trained. During our training sessions Jen made teaching me the training very simple, easy to understand, and then do. When I was struggling with an aspect of the training I would bring it up during one of our sessions and she would provide me with solutions that worked amazing and helped influence my dog to follow the training Jen taught her and she knew, but that she was struggling with me. My dog was in great hands with Jen and I knew she truly cared about her and saw the bond they made and leaving the last session seeing her say goodbye to my dog solidified that I knew she was very well loved in her training. I would highly recommend Jen to anyone looking to have their dog trained and it is a no brainier for me that everyone of my dogs I ever get I will send to Jen to train them too."
"I highly recommend Bruce Maldonado as a trainer. We rescued our dog Chloe when she was about nine months old. Chloe had separation anxiety to the point that required medication and was so difficult on walks that she broke my wife’s wrist by pulling her over. Chloe would also not tolerate crating. Bruce educated us on dog behavior and how to earn Chloe’s respect. Within seconds he got Chloe in the crate and amazingly she never had a problem going in for any us after that. Now she runs there as a safe place when my son is antagonizing her! These days walks are relaxing since Chloe knows to stay on our left side. My daughter often walks her in the neighborhood without a leash and multiple neighbors have commented on how well she behaves. You won’t be disappointed in Bruce if you follow his recommendations. He trains dogs because he loves them and doesn’t want to see negative consequences from behavioral issues. It also helps that he was gifted a perfect voice for dog training. Part of me thinks I could be a good trainer too with that voice!"
"We had worked with Lornzo’s a few years ago with our husky, but we never finished his training. Once we had our second dog, we knew we wanted to go through Lorenzo’s again as we had a great experience with them the first time! Our second dog had some aggression issues, so we met with Lorenzo and his team where they were able to address all of our concerns and put our minds at ease! This time, we worked with Victor who took great care of our dogs! He was able to build a relationship with our aggressive dog! Victor has provided us with great tools to be responsible dog owners. We always get commended on how well behaved they are. Even though they’ve finished their training, Victor is always kind enough to answer any questions we have promptly and with great insight! We highly recommend working with Lorenzo’s if you want top tier training that’s going to be well worth your money. Big thanks to Lorenzo, his team and especially Victor!"
"When we first noticed our puppy had aggressive tendencie towards strangers, we decided it was time for training. We were told by a friend that we should try Lorenzos dog training. Lorenzo offered to personally train Blu so we scheduled our first visit. Upon arriving, the employees asked us that we put a leather leash and choke collar on Blu, we had no problem with this as it seemed as a simple way to insure that there is no accidents with the dog. When we got inside, we made it aware that our Australian Cattle Dog was not used to being on a leash as he has multiple acres to run freely. When Lorenzo was "dissatisfied" with how Blu was on the leash he was taken into a back room, away from our sights and we heard noises of loud yelping, we figured this may be from the kennels and other dogs. Our dog was walked back out with his tail tucked, and was very,, odd. We knew something wasn't right due to his submissive behavior and need to be near me and my mother, especially trying to get to my father. We finished the last 15 minutes of the class and we're eager to get out of there, we didn't talk to eachother yet about it but after talking about the experience we all agreed that we were. Later that day, I was laying with my dog when I noticed his near blood red eyes, immediately I consulted my dad about the situation and after researching what had happened we figured that the only way that his eyes could reach this color was from being strangled, specifically the technique "helicoptering" where you lift the dog off of the ground using the leash and collar. We took Blu to the vet and they gave us the same answer and it costed us a few hundred bucks for a full exam and eye drops to help the redness. Upon posting our first review, Lorenzo's attorney contacted us saying that Lorenzo is interested in coming to our home to visit Blu and that he had eyedrops that could help Blu. I find it very funny that you have the eyedrops in the first place, is this a normal thing for your training center? Along with Lorenzo's attorney contacting us about this, he also offered to pay us an amount of money that we quickly denied and stated that no amount of money will stop us from sharing our experience. You can send your dog here if you truly want, but we have since cut contact with the person who recommended it to us and now I am recommending it to all dog owners that you send your dog elsewhere."
