"Terrible experience they have my information wrong and Garrett was very unhelpful! I was on hold for a hour trying to speak to a caseworker once i got through to garrett he acted like he had an attitude and didn’t want to help! Just very horrible to treat or talk to people the way this office does i am truly over it!"
"These people have no idea what they're talking about. Constant mistakes coming from this office and people are just expected to deal with it as if its not life altering. How hard is it to actually be on the same page, and actually know the job your doing and fix the mistakes made especially when its on the CAO end. Supervisors are no help the staff is just sweeping leaves in the wind, there is no help at all. What is the point of a caseworker/ supervisor if they cant be reached or return a call /VM in an 8 hr. working day. Damn shame this is how people at the forefront of struggle are being treated."
"There is no reason to have a drawn-out automated menu only to be hung up on instead of having the standard option to wait on hold or leave a message. It does not inspire confidence that there are reviews saying the same thing from 6-8 years ago. Seriously, what is wrong with this office?"
"I never had a problem with the downtown office on fifth avenue, but since covid I've had numerous problems with my paperwork getting lost in the office and I've had to do them over again. I always hand my paperwork in to the office personally and still they've been lost. I just handed in my paperwork in May of this year and of course they were lost so I have to redo them. And then I always receive them three days before I have to hand them in with all of my information. Wow such a short period of time to get everything together and get it in on time. Yes I have a problem with the welfare office now."
"I really don't have a problem with them they do the best they can. What people don't know is they are short staff and more caseworkers get laid off. Some case workers work out of different sites, and can have anywhere between 100 cases are so. They do have face to face interview I have never known them to do phone interview unless you requested one. Make sure you have all your paperwork. If someone is rude down there to you just smile and say how are you doing today it's a crazy day huh. They have so much on their plate and don't make a lot of money! Most of them has two jobs trying to make ends meet at home. They are the lowest pay government employees. Hell McDonald's employees makes more than them. Than they deal with so many loud mouth disrespectful people coming in there so don't take it personally."
