"A hugh shout out to the Berkeley Hills fire station today June 30, 2021. A dog was running loose on Siebert that I brought in the fire station. Firefighters Minerd, Nye and Wolfe were in the station and immediately offered assistance, providing water obtaining information, and calling the police. Officer Thomas was first on site and then Officer Elway arrives with a chip detector device. Officer Elway made several calls, the veterinarian clinic next door and obtained the name of the pet chip tracking company. Made a couple more calls and within about 40 minutes the dog was reunited with the caregiver. They were all great and I so appreciated their assistance. I think the dog was frightened because of the thunder and ran off from residence, so dog owners take note and bring your dog in during storms or fireworks especially this weekend July 4th."
"I had a really good experience with this police station. The detective that I spoke to (Mike Orsino) was empathetic, thorough and professional. He went above and beyond to listen to the situation I came to report. I think in these times where we hear so much about violent and uncaring police, it is nice to see and praise professional police who are truely trying to help their community, and that is this police department."
"Really good experience with them. Professional. Knew what they were doing in terms of de-escalation. Not that I have much of a choice lol but I wouldn't hesitate to call them."
