About the Business
Welcome to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, a vibrant and welcoming place of worship located in the heart of Mt. Lebanon, Pittsburgh. At St. Paul's, we are committed to fostering spiritual growth, building a strong community, and serving our neighbors with compassion and generosity.
Upcoming Events:
- So Long Summer: Join us on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 4:30 PM for a special event to bid farewell to summer and welcome the new season with fellowship and joy.
- Sunday Worship Services: Every Sunday at 9:45 a.m. in the Undercroft, guided by Rich Creehan, Verger and Worship Commission.
- Vacation Bible School (VBS): We are thrilled to offer a dynamic Vacation Bible School program for the children of our parish and community.
Our Community:
St. Paul's is more than just a church; it is a community where believers come together to grow in faith and support one another. Under the leadership of the Rev. Laura Di Panfilo, Associate Rector, and the Rev. Noah H. Evans, Rector, we strive to be a beacon of hope and love in the South Hills region. We are excited to welcome Theodore Somes as our new Curate and Dr. Douglas to our team.
Worship Services:
- Saturday 6 PM Services: These services move locations throughout the year. In Spring and Fall, they are held at Old St. Luke's in Scott Township; in Winter, they take place in St. Paul's Sanctuary; and in Summer, they are conducted outside in St. Margaret's Garden.
Giving and Support:
Generosity is at the core of our Christian faith. St. Paul's encourages parishioners to share their time, talent, and treasure to support our ministry, worship, and community outreach. Annual pledges and recurring gifts are essential for keeping our church running and enabling us to continue our mission. Your contributions support everything from keeping the lights on to celebrating the Eucharist and partnering with community organizations.
We also invite you to consider a donation to the South Hills Food Pantry, which aids neighbors in need across our region. Additionally, the St. Paul's Endowment Fund, created through bequests of money and property, ensures future financial stability for our parish and supports designated programs and special needs.
Join Us:
Whether you are looking to deepen your faith, connect with a loving community, or find ways to give back, St. Paul's Episcopal Church welcomes you with open arms. Come grow in faith and community with us this fall and beyond.

"Joyful and welcoming place to worship. Truly ALL are welcome!"
"My family found our spiritual home at St. Paul’s several years ago. Thought-provoking sermons, vibrant children’s ministry and many ways to get involved in adult formation or service opportunities. We were not “cradle Episcopalians” but have grown to not only understand but love the liturgy of this denomination. So many opportunities are offered to grow in your faith and step out in service to others!"
"When I was still a Christian and originally lived in Pittsburgh, I would attend this church regularly. Occasionally, I still attend because my issues are not with Jesus. Last summer, I attended in June and people were very standoffish. And when I mentioned it to the priest, the answer he gave was less than satisfactory. However, yesterday, people were much more kind and welcoming. And there was a nice elderly gentleman behind me who talked to me occasionally throughout the Eucharistic service. Additionally, St. Paul's spearheaded a new initiative within the parish connected to a non-profit that forgives medical debt. Which speaks volumes to the fact that they are trying to live in accordance with Jesus teachings, instead of merely being a beautiful church that doesn't do anything to improve the well being of others. I was so impressed with the fact that St. Paul partners with RIP Medical Debt, that I contacted the Office Manager of the Hindu Temple I attend. And I asked her to communicate with the Executive Committee regarding this non-profit to see if this is something that wanted to get on board with. Thank you for doing your part to be Jesus to the World, St. Paul's!"
"Beautiful church and very kind people."
"I'm not religious, but my mother has taken me here a few times. This is a nice church. It's very pretty inside, and the benches (not sure what they're actually called) are relatively comfortable. I'm not qualified to judge the content of the church service, but it wasn't boring at all to me, which is saying a lot considering how I usually feel about church services."
