"We wanted to experience a new route that would get us to DUMBO. Great choice! We had to walk a few blocks to get to the Manhattan side of the ferry stop. We chose the upper deck area for the view, pictures and experience. Once seated, we totally enjoyed the cool March breeze as we rode under all three bridges, BMW. Great way to see the skyline. You’ll need to do some advanced research for ferry routes and times. Additionally, purchase your tickets beforehand. Tickets may be purchased online for a one way ride at a very reasonable price."
"A smaller dock stop on the NY Ferry. Very busy, as they all are, with limited yet helpful staffing. Drops you right in midtown east."
"Horrible. Limited staff. No one knows what’s going on. Waited in line for 1 hour for the Wall Street ferry near the front of a line with between 200 and 300 people. One ferry came in and could only take 20 people. The next ferry was hidden from view on the north side of the ticket stand and took about 15 people from a different line that did not list Wall Street as a destination. One person working for nyc ferry did not walk down the adjoining long line I was in but called out to the front of the line that the hidden from view short line ferry was going to Wall Street. I rushed to that ferry and another employee locked the gate and the ferry with the short line left about 1/3 filled going to Wall Street. The employee who called out last minute to the front of the line that a mostly empty ferry was leaving said it was not his job to let people in the line that now stretched two blocks know that other ferries were available. I left."
"$5.50 for 2 adults to ride one way, sensational. Staff is so helpful as long as you know what route you need, they tell you exactly which ferry to get on. Look at the blue dots going across the river and zoom in to find which route you need to take. They won’t know about the areas you need to get to only the route name "
"Great way to take a ride to the Brooklyn stop and continue onto Lower Manhattan. Get a day pass and check out the stops. Ferry's are on time and quickly load and leave. BEWARE. We booked our day passes on the Waterways app, there is no eTicket or confirmation email. Luckily I took a screenshot, because there is not WiFi at the ports, so I could not access the app and you are given no barcode or anything to scan. The electronic ticketing/app is terrible and needs much improvement."
