Reviews
"This review is specifically for Kim at the utilities office. This woman is completely unprofessional and should not be in a position where she has to deal with citizens of this city. The head of Code Enforcement told me to call Kim and have her fill out a permit form so that I could obtain a dumpster permit and the permit number to order a dumpster from Aiken Refuse. Before I could finish my sentence, Kim interrupted with a "No!" and basically said it doesn't work like that. I told her that she should speak with Ralph, the person in charge of Code Enforcement, and her response was, "I don't have to do that." She then goes on to say "if you would let me speak" when she herself initially interrupted me, I said to her that their hours of 8-3:30 make it impossible for a lot of us who have normal jobs to come in person for something as trivial as a dumpster permit, her response was that "she's working a job too", as if that's even remotely relevant considering the context of this being about their hours of operation and the unnecessary burden of obtaining a dumpster permit. This person shouldn't be anywhere close to a customer service position."
"Unfortunately the ECpolice don't do their jobs. They would rather spend 45 minutes telling a citizen on need how they can't help them than to spend 15 minutes to speak to an inconsiderate neighbor about noise day and night . They are arrogant and sit back and collect their pay and refuse to go above and beyond. It's a shame they are so rude."
"How can anyone do business in this town when the gatekeeping borough workers don't answer the phone ever?"
"Their phone number doesn’t even connect. Ghetto trash workers"
"Exceptional service! Ellwood Electric is owned by the borough. Revenue from Ellwood Electric help to share the cost of community services such as police, fire, road and parks with renters rather than homeowners bearing the full cost. When severe weather causes power outages, Ellwood Electric crews have our power restored while other areas are still waiting for Penn Power or First Energy crews to show up. I gave 4 rather than 5 stars because Borough bill include electric, sewage and recycling fees - people state the total for all services as electric cost and it causes confusion."
