"DO NOT go here. Enrolled, was accepted, attended the soar event signed up for classes, was about to start in a week. Went up to the school to find my classes and get some information as communication had been non-existent. Was told when I arrived that my program had been completely cut without any notice and I had to change my major. They opted to try to change me to the graphic design major which is NOT at all the same as studio arts. No warning or anything about this. Nearly all the staff know nothing about any of this. Half of them are wondering around aimlessly not a clue in the world as to what’s going on. Was promised an on campus counselor as well and then was told today that they haven’t had an on Campus counselor in several years. If I could go here simply for the handful of lovely staff I would. I’m not paying thousands for a degree that I don’t want. The admissions staff seem to not care at all about any of the students either. Seems more like they care about money then anything. Down lots of money from admissions and medical notes they needed just to now not have an option for school this semester. Extremely disappointed."
"This was a big school, the travel there was long, but beautiful. We past plenty of cotton fields. The basket game between Chowan vs Converse was a good game. One thing I was happy to see in their gym was the folded chairs option rather then your standard bleachers."
"My daughter graduated from Chowan. I like how nice and clean the campus normally is. The school has a good spiritual lifting ambiance about it. I enjoyed visiting the campus."
