Reviews
"Saw an ad for this school stating something similar to "your education for an equitable future". There can be no equal outcomes only equal opportunity. Because surprise like in education not everyone will be able to progress to the same levels on their own merits no matter the amount of resources you give them. That isn't their natural ability. And that's OK. They will provide something else to the world."
"Making everything as complicated as possible. I am returning student and I can not get inside any building because they require a card which they are not mailing, you have to pick it up from the building where you can't enter. Before, students could get their star card onsite and now they want you to request it online only, with tons of restrictions to a photo. My class started 2 weeks ago, in a week I will have an appointment with advisor and have to spend 2 weeks waiting on card. Sadly, I started getting a degree at this college and more than half way done, I wish just never deal with this place again."
"Do not go to this school if you have a disability. There is no DASS, and they do not comply with the ADA. They will argue with you to tell you that you are not the only student who needs help. They are condescending and unprofessional. *Update: I am in the middle of a semester, and my grades are important to me. I do not have time to reach out, but I plan to file a formal complaint at the semester's closing. I am no longer interested in asking for help at this school. I wholeheartedly believe my statement is accurate, and I will prove it with my evidence."
"This college attracts people with the hope of saving money, I’m talking kids right out of high school. Unfortunately, if you don’t have the right kind of personality and get lucky with the handful of decent professors, it will cost you too much time and additional money to go here. You have to be a total fighter, the administration is run so poorly, everything takes gobs of time. They will purposely “review” something they need to fix for so long that you’re behind in a class and then need to retake it. It’s a joke. they hire professors who don’t answer questions, don’t attend office hours, don’t respond to emails. I thought maybe our experience was one of a kind but I was talking to a mom yesterday with the same complaints. Lcc has been holding her kids paperwork since May and won’t turn it in to the state so he can take essential testing and get registered. What on gods green earth is taking them so long? If other schools can accomplish it in days, why is it taking lcc months? Quick to cash your check, slow to take care of students. Do not recommend. We had the means to send my son elsewhere and picked LCC because he didn’t really have a preference of 4 year university, so we thought we would save some cash. Sadly, this was a horrible choice that I’ll regret for a long time."
"Security Breach names and social security numbers possibly leaked. And they knew that suspicious activity was happening since March of this year which was not even close to when i received the notice in the mail (4 months after), mind you the person was doing this since December of last year so for a couple months someone had possible access to every student in LCCs social and name. This letter they sent makes it seem like it's not LCCs fault even though they clearly can't handle monitoring their computer system where it takes 6 months total for them to alert people possibly affected by a security breach they offered a membership to KROLL (identity monitoring system) and expect you to deal with the security issue yourself even though we should be able to trust our community schools with that information everybody knows how stressful these rabbit holes are to go down and fill out all these documents and services we never wanted to sign up for and I don't believe they are taking proper responsibility for their negligence with our personal information."
