"I switched to OTR because I was only making $700 a week doing local… and my new dispatcher was a guy named Jake…worst decision I ever made…this guy is NOT good at his job at all…and actually cost me mine. If you can avoid him, please do. How he got a job as a dispatcher I don’t know. But he will be a thorn in your butt trust me…Cargo is a decent company but unfortunately they lost their care for drivers and became just another trucking company… they don’t have the loads to keep you rolling and they expect you to drive like a robot and will be quick to terminate you if you make a mistake. If you’re an experienced driver, You can do better."

"Best place I've worked in a long time. They really take care of their equipment. Only Freightliner Cascadias in the fleet. Battery APUs with Opti Idle to charge the batteries when they get low. Opti Idle - you turn the truck key switch to on position then set the Opti Idle. The truck will start automatically and run for 2 hours to charge the APU batteries. Once batteries are charged the truck will turn off till needed again. Power inverter, built in refrigerator, and Smart TV provided in the truck. Your choice of fuel locations to pick from. You access fuel discount locations from their tablet and you can choose when to fuel from their suggestions. You pick fuel stops from the main/major truck stops. Home every weekend unless you want to stay out longer. Two pay packages to choose from .67 cents per mile ( all in - no paid time of and no paid holidays) or .60 cents per mile with 15 paid days off (earned the first year, accumulates as you work thru the year) and holiday pay."
"After working for a competing company, I had heard so many stories about Cargo and how the Company treats ALL employees with respect. Has to be to GOOD TO BE TRUE!. After leaving the competition, to make the move to Cargo Transporters, all I can say is ALL the stories are absolutely true. I was so used to be referred to a a number and not by name, it took me a while to get used to that aspect of a respectful and family oriented company. Fleet Leaders and the Support staff are friendly and go the distance to help in any situation. Shop/Body Shop Staff are amazing. If you are having an issue , they're available and stop what they may be working on to help you get back on the road. I would like to thank all those at Cargo for the respect shown to me in my 1 year adventure. Here's to many more years and more adventures, with a great Company"
