"DO NOT WORK HERE!!! DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! They DO NOT like to effectively communicate with their employees. Training is non-existent in this establishment and they will fire you if you have sense enough to rattle the cage. There is a clear sign of favoritism despite work ethic. Cleaning practices are minimal and should be randomly inspected by the Health Department. (and no Ty I didn't call them but they should be.) Phone usage while wearing gloves. Aprons and work uniforms not being worn while prepping food. Gloves and beard guards not being worn by owner and his father. The reuse of old dough to make new product. The list goes on. The owner Scott and his father, the previous owner, Bernie are complacent in their lazy business practices and run the "family operated" bakery as if it's a sweat shop. I was fired within a month because "he didn't like me" after making ONE complaint about how the business operated and how my specific position could be improved for more efficient output. You know..."work smarter, not harder". His response..."Sorry, new workers tend to get thrown into the fire. We are working on it" and then not even a week later, I am fired! He had ZERO reasonable reasons for why he wanted to fire me other than its Pennsylvania, I was in probationary period because I am a new hire and I wasn't a good fit for him...yet I was being praised from day one how good of a worker and pretzel "maker" I was for never making pretzels a day in my life. I HAVE THE ENTIRE TERMINATION PROCESS RECORDED! He told another employee while I was present I was fired because "I don't like you!" No other reasoning. Another witness. Another employee quit my first week because Bernie attempted to tie her to a table with out her knowledge like a slave as a "joke" because he wanted her to not walk away from the table as much as she did. Scott (the owner) then tried to say my behavior and attitude was the reason she "quit" when I was the singular witness to that event. Bernie even tried to come explain why he did it and apologized to me for the misunderstanding. A BLACK MAN who understands how offensive that action can be. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! STAY AWAY! They give large 10K+ loans out to their employees which I believe to be a laundering scheme and a tactic to keep certain employees attached to the company at low wages. They try to force their employees to stay 10-12+ hours to make up for the short staff (because staff either gets fired in my situation or they quit like the situation stated above). They would much rather hire drug addicts and high schoolers and pay low wages than to hire employees with sense who will speak up and demand a better, more efficient work environment. EGO & PRIDE IS THE DOWNFALL OF MAN."
"Caught sale. Could youse open this store for bread sales Monday and Wednesday. You wouldn't have such an overage, and we live in the neighborhood and are unable to order on line. I've been trying on line months, nowhere."
"Great place to load out of. Friendliest people I've dealt with in years. Always glad to see you. The bread they bake is amazing. Overall a great place."
"I had a pick-up 8 AM only 3 pallets, the guy in shipping was very nice ,and he loaded me in 15 min. I followed Google maps on my way there my truck GPS only found impossible routes to the address. There is a 13'9 bridge you have to go under and my GPS will not take me there . When I went to get my paperwork the nice gentleman in shipping gave me two loaf of cinnamon bread, thank you."
