"One of the best places to fly around that isn’t a club field (associated with the AMA or a flying club). Everyone is welcome and experienced flyers will help new pilots - don’t hesitate to ask for assistance. Park in the upper lot and use the lower lot as a runway. Although paved, the pavement is old and crumbling, so it can be hard on retractable landing gear and propellers! This site is in a community park and the park roads have a 15mph speed limit because the roads double as sidewalks with lots of local folks walking, running, riding bikes, walking dogs, horseback riding, etc. (including small kids). OBAY THE SPEED LIMIT so folks don’t complain about us to the municipality, which could cause problems. ALWAYS RESPECT OTHER PARK USERS. Also, the area used for flying includes three baseball fields used by a commercial interest and member families for baseball camps in the evenings and occasionally on weekends during certain months. They pay the municipality to use the fields and parking lots. The municipality also rents the fields, parking lots, and picnic tables to others on occasion. PLEASE YIELD THE FACILITIES to others when needed. DO NOT FLY OVER OR NEAR PEOPLE. DO NOT FLY RECKLESSLY. DON’T BE STUPID. Have fun!"
