Our Services:
- In-House Dental Services: We are excited to announce that Sundale Care now offers in-house dental services, providing convenient and comprehensive dental care to our residents.
- COVID-19 Infection Control: Our staff has excelled in maintaining rigorous infection control measures, as highlighted in our COVID-19 Infection Control Survey on June 22, 2020. We are proud of our staff's continued dedication and excellence.
- Mandatory COVID-19 Reporting: In compliance with CMS (Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services) directives, we report weekly COVID-19 data to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). This includes information on suspected and confirmed COVID-19 cases, total deaths, PPE supplies, ventilator capacity (not applicable to WV nursing facilities), resident census, access to COVID-19 testing, and staffing shortages.
Visitation and Family Engagement:
Families and visitors are welcome at Sundale Nursing Home at any time, though we suggest visiting between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Children of all ages are encouraged to visit and enjoy our attractive dining room, lounge, and patio. For special occasions such as birthday and anniversary parties, please notify our Activities Department, and we will be happy to assist you.
Food and Diet Management:
We ask that any food brought from home be checked in with the charge nurse to ensure compatibility with the resident’s diet and medication regimen. Please avoid leaving perishable items or amounts that cannot be readily consumed. Snack foods must be stored in sealed plastic containers and dated.

Dining with Residents:
We encourage visitors to dine with our residents. Please notify the Receptionist or the Dietary Manager if you plan to have a meal with us. There is a charge of $3.50 per meal.

"My brother was in this facility for approx 18 months until he passed away. The nursing staff and nursing assistants were very good to my brother, but they were grossly understaffed. The administration is uncaring and totally disregarded many of our concerns. At the end we had to fight for any comfort measures requested for him and the family. The caseworker assigned to him was inattentive and actually rude. There was a family member there daily checking on him. We had to take it upon ourselves to supply safety and comfort measures for him. Loved the caregivers. Administration was terrible."
"Sundale is Wonderful My wife Jan had surgery at the Cleveland Clinic last month. She needed follow-up rehabilitation in Morgantown after her hospital stay. We decided to move her to Sundale Rehabilitation because of their excellent reputation. We were pleased to be accommodated there. The nurses, nursing assistants, and housekeeping at Sundale are extraordinary. The facility is impeccably clean. The medical director is among the best in the region. We could not have received better care. The staff and administration were professional, competent, compassionate, have positive attitudes and were always ready to assist. My wife Jan was treated like a queen. The recent renovations are making the institution even more bright, cheery and functional. The food was quite good. Institutional food is difficult to prepare. Their kitchen staff is to be commended. There was adequate variety, the fresh fruits and vegetables were nicely prepared and presented, and the desserts were tasty. Our special requests were accommodated."
