"Long time customer, credit card holder - - was shopping with my adult son at the Ross Park Mall location on Wednesday July 3 for my birthday. He has also has made many purchases from Pottery Barn. Jessica approached us to welcome us and to let us know she's available to help if needed. Had a question about where to find a table throw - Jessica was on the phone so I approached the design desk where there were 2 Pottery Barn female employees and you'd think I was invisible. One walked right past me without even acknowledging my presence. The other never spoke a word until I broke the silence asking her where to find the table runners. She said they would all be "Back there" and pointed in an area I'd already rummaged through. That was all the help she was willing to give. Very condescending and make you feel like you are bothering them or it's below them to help you. If it wasn't for Jessica I'd give them a 1 star. Guess that's why I shop online - - too bad as I love to see the product in person."
"Worst customer service for online orders ever!!! I ordered a personalized backpack from Pottery Barn Kids in August. It was monogrammed in the wrong color thread & the monogram was crooked. I was going to visit my granddaughter & it needed to be there for for the 1st day of school. I had to return the backpack but they wouldn't allow me to change the ship to address. It cost me $11 to ship to my granddaughter. I also had to ask them to credit the personalization. This past month I ordered a personalized jewelry box for the same granddaughter. I had to pay $9.00 for them to ship to store. When I went to pick it up, her name was MISSPELLED!! I now have to wait 3 weeks for replacement & had to again ask for credit for the personalization & have to drive back to the store when the new one comes in. Absolutely the worst!!"
"I have to say that after the “customer service” I received today and the time prior at the Ross Park location, Pottery Barn has lost me as a customer forever. I ordered an entire bedroom set, bedding, and living room chair - I never received a notification letting me know I had rewards. When I went to the store to ask about them, the 3 standing behind the counter seemed annoyed with me and basically said “too bad.” I was very nice and they just seemed too self involved to even care or point me in the right direction. I then went on to order a pricey electric fireplace from them and they advised me to come back to the store and ask about my rewards from that purchase to ensure they went through that time, so I went into the store today to inquire. A 30ish brunette at the counter looked at me emotionless, without blinking, seemed annoyed that I was even asking her a question and said to me “I don’t see anything here under your phone number.” She just stared at me blankly until I said “uh okay, thanks????” RUDE, rude, rude employees every time I am in there spending tons of money. I will take my business elsewhere. I hate to post such a negative review around the holidays, but they are certainly NOT the jolliest bunch in that store and ruin my experience every single time."
"Went to this store and ordered an in stock piece of furniture in November, was told it would be delivered by the end of the year. The delivery date came an passed, they have continuously pushed out the delivery date and are telling me the best they can do is June. Contrary to their own polices where they said the wouldn't charge my credit card until it was ready to deliver they have so, they currently have my money and they are delivering the item 6 months late. When you call customer service they pass you from person to person for an hour ending with an assurance that they will call you back to resolve the issue and then don't."
"Jerome was awesome in helping my fiance and I try out couches today. He was knowledgable and patient—even though he knew we wouldn't be able to make a purchase at the store due to moving out of state and not having an apartment lined up yet. We now have a much better idea of what PB offers and what we want thanks to his expertise. 10/10 customer service."
