Give a hoot comedy Club

"Give a Hoot has wisely arranged to be a charitable fund-raising venue and I went for my daughter’s chorus. That got us in the door and my wife and I will return. On a busy Friday we liked the convenience of having the co-located Mexican restaurant so we could eat before the show. The $20 charge for the show partially goes to our choral boosters but still was quite reasonable as they still have to pay the comics. The host warmed the crowd and he was energetic and funny. The night we went there were three others and I had a good laugh from all of them but the headliner is that for a reason and Roger Mursick was very funny with a confidence and ease on stage that was immediately noticeable. I’m glad we had the chance to try Give a Hoot out and I recommend strongly."

"I have been to Give a Hoot five or six times over the past year. They support a different charity each week, and I try to go whenever they support a charity that I work with. I have had a great time on every visit. Like any comedy club, you will love some comics more than others, but we have always had great fun, especially with their headliners. We also enjoyed the opportunity to grab some Mexican food and drinks both before and during the show. We will be back."

"I went there because the $20 cover charge is partially for charitable organizations. There were three local comedians who were clearly not professional, but very earnest amateurs and tried pretty hard. Their headline act could have been a top performer anywhere. Probably a 40 minute set and my mind never wandered once. He pivoted from topic to topic and was just flat out. Funny. The restaurant served Mexican food which I thought was very tasty and the prices were very reasonable. I would recommend the place and I would definitely go back"
